I prefer just-bitten type lips to be bright but generally for day-to-day, I prefer subtle, not necessarily light.

I sometimes do that as well.. with the lighter colour over the darker one..

OMG me too!!! With a bright pink lipgloss on top, I end up with barbie lips but in a good way.

It gives the perfect color, it's all i've been doing lately! A nude all over the lip, then a rosey color in the inner part of the lips, love how it looks.
