NYX brand seems interesting. Can’t beat 5.99 dollars for a lipstick. I want to try some of them.
They have these new ones - they’re skinny and called “high voltage”. They’re not glosses, they’re lipsticks. Anyone tried these?
Then they have butter glosses, and then “intense” butter glosses - anyone tried these?
Been reading good things about their “soft matte cream” line. Anyone tried these?
What colors in NYX do you recommend if you have?

NYX’s San Paolo (soft matte cream) looks good. Below link to an indian girl who is wearing the color. She has a number of NYX shades - she’s obsessed with the soft matte creams I guess. They look good actually. For 6 dollars, it’s an awesome trade!

^I have that, one of the better colours that I have. I went a bit crazy and got about 10 shades from NYX, really loved all of them (apart from the super dark purple one which didn’t suit me)

Have you tried their creamy lipsticks or any other types of lipsticks? They have these high intensity sticks too now. Look fun.

Yes, saw their glossy/intensity ones but not sure if I want to try cos I’m really into my mattes atm.
Umm NYX matte creams-wise, Antwerp was a nice peachy colour on me, and Amsterdam was a pretty pink on me, not as dark as I thought, like a mid-pink. Ibiza was a really lovely coral, really liked it, and morrocco was decent, made my lips look quite full, although it’s an orangey red. I loved the nude shades as well, on me they came out more pink than nude but I liked (I bought Cannes and Zurich).
I’ve tried a few of their matte lipsticks, I had a matte one called Merlot which was pretty, and another one called Bloody Mary, they’re lovely colours, very cranberry pink but not super-pigmented. I have a couple of their normal lipsticks as well, again, very pretty colours but slightly average. They’re more everyday wear for me, even though there’s a good range of colours and the ones I have are quite bright, they don’t last me all day.
There’s a whole load of butter glosses by Nyx which have come out, not sure if i want to try them but they seem to have good reviews so far.

Finally tried the raved about Velvet Teddy from MAC. My sister owns it so did not have to go to the store. I didn’t like it. It’s a pretty color, but mad me look kinda washed out. A bit too nudey for me.
Fell in love with two Nars’ lipsticks: Tonkin and Het Loo. Very pretty on Desi skin tones.

NYX products are soooo hooded!
Love their Matte lip creams, they have an awesome range if colors and quite long lasting as we’ll!
the ones I usually go for are Ibiza, Antwerp( the most beautiful rose pink shade ever!), Ansterdam and Copenhagen( a very beautiful dark vampy shade which will suit most of us desis I’m sure)
also, the shade Merlot in their matte lipsticks range is a pretty bright( but not the neon too bright kind) lippie which you should def check out. I always get asked which lipstick I’m wearing whenever I wear this. Also, Aria and Red shade is pretty awesome too

Ulta shelves are always out. They say as soon as a shipment comes in and there is a sale it’s all gone fast.

Tried the Wet n Wild lipstick - in the thin matte megalast stick.
It’s 2 dollars.
You definitely get what you pay for.
Pros: BRIGHT vibrant colors.
Cons: Very drying.
Ok to wear over an emollient type moisturizer like vaseline or neutrogena chapsticks.

Anyone try Dominique by Nars? For some reason this shade is exclusive to Barney’s and other stores…not sure why. It’s an interesting blue-toned purple.

Any suggestions of what this lip color might be ..(I tried Dior 999 and mixing a bit of orange) but I wanted an exact match:)
