I love the Burt's Bees lip tint in Red Dahlia. Looks like a chapstick, but provides a wash of color. I am on my 3rd or 4th tube.
Ulta's lip stain in Suspense....that my lip color but better shade that will flatter desi skin tones.
Clinique's Black Honey is similar to the above colors, doesn't have great staying power.
Revlon matte balms in Standout ..blue-toned vampy red and Sultry which is a mauve color that flatters all skin tones.
Nvey Eco in the shade, Flirt....very flattering gloss for Desi tones. Bought this one recently.
MAC Taupe....haven't seen this one mentioned on the forum other than me; thought it would have more fans. Pinky-brown color.
Milani in Rose Femme....pinky brown color when you want a more natural look.
Inglot matte lipstick in 411 ....beautiful muted plum color. Perfect for fall and those with strong yellow undertones. Nyx's liner in prune pairs well with it.

Marks and Spencers Autograph lipstick. L'oreal ones. MAC.
Nothing fancy or posh since I don't use makeup. Only lipsticks and those are the ones that suffice well. All of the times, usually shades of red and matte lipsticks. Crimson red is favourite.

All my teenage, early twenties, I always wore devil reds, very dark browns. But toned down later only wearing light pinks, mauves, light browns in orangish tones. Now I wear gloss, natural shades. Sometimes mix to get a shade I want. But mostly pale shades.

I wear nudes mostly so my all time favourite for years have been. MAC - ‘Kinda Sexy’ paired with lip pencil - ‘dervish’ (also MAC)
Current one I wear is Hourglass Femme nude - in Nude 2

I don't care about flattering, I wear everything. I don't want to be in my 20s and already be in the muted rose rut my mother is in. I have the OCC lips Tar Set that I go crazy making my own colours.

Thanks for the suggestions - my aunt got Twig and Taupe from MAC and really loves them.
Any other good suggestions - please write the name of the color (any lipstick brand) that is your go to?
I suggest "barely nude" from Estee Lauder (not sure if it still exists).

I am on my second tube of MAC 's taupe and may have to replenish soon,. It's a very flattering color for. Desi complexions that it's a wonder I don't hear it mentioned more often by the Desi lot. On me it shows up. Sorta peachy-corally though it's a pinky-brown color. But i feel it brightens up my face. Now I feel like putting on some taupe, lol.

I just bought ramblin rose from Mac.
I had Shanghai Spice but I have no idea where it disappeared to.
Velvet teddy is a nice nude too.
I have way too many pinks, way way too many. Need to break out of that. :hinna: I need a nice nude, but I’m ALWAYS drawn to pinks, I can’t help it.

Some time ago I bought taupe very excitingly but shows up very rose-brownish on me, need to pair it with another shade, hardly untouched :-/
Another good one on desi complexions is ‘faux’ (MAC) with a mauavish undertone, my sister only wears that, very beutuful shade; again like taupe I cannot pull it off :-/

Velvet Teddy doesn’t suit me (and I really want to love it!) :hinna: I’ll have to give Taupe a try 
These MAC shades give me a true “nude” lip— Fresh Brew, Siss, Freckletone…topped with lipglass in Madcap, I get the perfect nude lip! For reference, I’m NC 35-40 (depending on if its summer/winter)

We got an aunt of mine Twig and Taupe, and she loves them - from MAC. Thanks for the recs. Made shopping so much easier, we just asked for specific colors.
Khatti, I thought I was the only one on whom velvet teddy didn't look good. I saw it on a friend and on her it looked amazing. Any other shades you recommend.

My go to lipsticks for everyday are Angel for the past four years, fresh brew last year and these days I have been wearing Siss. Tried twig for a neutral look and it's darker than my lip colour so now I wear it for dressing up. Need to try velvet teddy. Just picked up a darker pink and orange shade last night wish I had seen this before.
