I dont know where to post this but i think it will be ignored by most men in this forum so i will post it here.
How many did you buy before your wedding?
Do you actually use them?
I love dressing up for my hubby and want to buy some before our rukhsati, like have a stash but my friends are telling me its the biggest waste of money and that you only use it in the beggining and later on you don’t really need it.
hmmm…i splurged on victorias secret, maiden form, bali, all the nice brands and bought tons of matching bra and panties, a few nighties, corsets, stuff like that. other than the occasional compliment on the soft silky material, my hubby barely notices them in detail…like colors, patterns etc, lol. . (been married 3 1/2 years now). personally, i didnt buy them for him. i just wanted to have them available to wear cuz i loooove cute matching stuff, cooridinating, etc etc. i would say buy a few, cuz you’ll always be able to use them u know? and i kind of agree with your friends…how do i put it in nice terms… “the guys dont like the gift wrap..they like whats underneath”
i was reading in a magazine, they had this poll for guys and the MAJORITY of men said they dont like excessive lingerie cuz its a hindrance…
Time for reality check ...the whole lingerie industry exists because of men. How can this topic be ignored by them when actually its them who are the end beneficiary of that commodity.

because most women do not feel comfortable discussing it with men.
ANd the question was for married ladies and does the whole thing really dies down?
lol its so unromantic to ask my hubby before our rukhsati if he will like it later on.. And again i think the point is how much should you get... cuz obvioulsy u can't wear the same thing every night.. should it depend on how long the honeymoon is?
if u need a genuinely honest , effective and applicable opinion u need to hear it straight from the horses' mouth. Bring some MEN in here. they will truly expand ur horizons. men take lingerie as an art form. they shall add dimensions to this discussion that u wudnt hv heard before..... serenity guarenteed!
a piece of advice to all women folk: " let our curiosity wander":)
In the beginning of marriage... like the first few months and later on its "lets hurry up before the kids wake up"
I have mostly worn VS stuff even before I was taken/engaged/married. Yeah I was talking more in terms of corsets and babydolls.
yea, in terms of corsets and baby dolls, sure i would def buy some. i love both corsets and baby dolls, so comfy, even to lounge around in while watching tv in the evening, u know.........in terms of quantity, i dont know...maybe like 4-5 baby dolls, a few corsets, several nighties...? then again, a girl can never have TOO MUCH lingerie.... :) i say go crazy.
It would be tacky and wierd to ask your husband to ask beforehand, unless you have the kind of relationship where you can frankly ask for his opinion. I personally got a couple of nighties and a few nice matching bra sets and then bought stuff as needed later on.
i think buying too many is a waste of money too. only buy pieces u can wear on regular basis.
as for beginning months of wedding u really don’t need anything
do what makes you happy. after you're living with him, do what makes him happy. take him shopping a few days after the wedding (after you have found out what he likes/dislikes) and have him buy all the stuff.
p.s tlk is always very helpful in giving advice, don't mind him ;-)
I don't think there's a set rule..just get whatever you want.
Truthfully after a few months, it does get more .... spontaneous... ot put it tactfully...
but dressing up sometimes doesnt' hurt at all IMO, and im sure most men appreciate the extra effort.
