Today I started exercising at my local gym. I have made myself a schedule so there is no backing out or not having enough time to go. I asked a couple of my friends to join me so we can support each other.
**
Now fellow guppies who would like to join me on this venture to rid ourselves of unhealthiness??? **
BENEFITS OF THIS PROGRAM:
Feel better about yourself
Loose unwanted weight
Fit into that great outfit that is hanging in your closet
Increase the quality and possible the quantity of life
Gain extra energy to get you going throughout the day
I started working out yesterday after a long time...am a little sore...but I got a personal trainer and they are so helpful I swear...it would be nice to have motivating gs buddies!
LB swimming is not an option for me, but it is a good idea
Attia just start do some excerise that you enjoy... like riding a bike or joining for a job. but make sure that you keep up with it. make a schedule. At least go for 20 min. Also try to cut down on sweets & sodas if possible.
DP: Do you workout regularly??? And are one of those types of ppl who lose weight really easily....give us some tips.
Some little info that I got: They say eat 5 times a day but in small portions...this will give you energy through out the day. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water, esp. when you work out. If you are doing weight training. Do weights one day and cardio the next....shouldn't do both together in one day...esp if you are toning your body.
I know swimming is a really good way to exercise...but there isn't a woman's gym here. I really want to go...any suggestions as to what I can do???
Ok I'm in since I've already been on my own program. I go to gym 3-4 times a week, days I'm not gymming I take a brisk 3km walk around the racecourse or I run.
I've lost about 3-4kg and need to lose more, since the eating habits still need to be changed.
Count me in as well. I've been going to the gym about 4 times a week, and haven't changed the diet much but am taking about two meals a day with a fruit salad for dinner. Too scared to check the scale though :(
take that back flossy, im only 22, im trying to be supportive of your oncoming joy, no need to be mean...consider it "staffroom" banter. I am also a teacher :p
