I believe it takes more than one event or a chain of events which shape somebody’s life. But I hear and read everyday about somebody’s life changed just because of one sentence someone said, one story someone read, one inspiring books someone read.
One situation which I think can change somebody’s life can be some kind of accident ( God Forbid) like someone goes blind because of an accident.
Do you believe there is a single thing which can change someone life ? Have you experienced or know someone who faced some life changing event ?
i think little things can have a big effect, though we may not realise this at the time. is the kind of thing you mean? hm, though those things may not be neccesarry life changing, for example, i was in a car accident with hubby, and a few months before this, after me telling him many time to do so, he had seatbelts put in his car (this was in pakistan). those seatbelts, were a contribuition towards saving our lives.
is this the kind thing you mean?
Kind of sort of your constant reminder changed your husbands habit from not wearing seatbelt to wearing it, otherwise, this accident would be a life changing event though.

There are many things that come to my mind as far as life-changing events....marriage. Birth of a child. Death of a loved one. Accepting a job in a different state or different country. Divorce. Each of these things necessarily changes one's life in a profound way.

yep....after that i have blind faith on the existence of ALLAH SWT, and on ALLAH SWT.
........now i can discern many things visually that many cant! (ALHUMDULLAH)

Once I read an article about reverts to Islam and their stories... There were a number of reverts in that article quoted to say that when they read the 2nd ayah of Surah Mulk, it changed their lives.
