Libraries

Re: Libraries

i love libraries too..

i had my first crush in my school library..

Now we All know why you love library?

Re: Libraries

books are like lunch/dinner for me, but it has been more than 9 years since i went to any library, and that was when we were in urdu science college, used to spend more time in college library than class : D aur jab dhakkay de kar wahan say nikalay jatay, to we used to walk all the way upto Liaqat National Library

now i always buy them or borrow them from friends... and when both of these options are not available as in the UAE, ebooks do the job

Re: Libraries

^ You used to walk from Urdu Science College to Liaquat National .. wow .. that is quite a walk man ..

Re: Libraries

^ the encouraging part of the walk, in addition to the library, was actually the bus route : p which had low fare for students and was the only direct route to my home...

Re: Libraries

^ liaquat national library kahan hay ??...main 4 saal us area main zair-e-taleem rahee mujhay to nahi nazar ayee bummer

Re: Libraries

^ adjacent to PTV building. chandni chowk

Re: Libraries

Psychologically, reading a book in hand imparts more of its contents to us than an e-book. We can underline, elaborate on textbook not on internet. It's always a sense of touch that adds to the beauty of reading specially when you can take notes on sidelines with your favourite pen.

I really loved that Library .. also another favorite with Allama Iqbal Library .. I think that was in North Nazimabad.

:smack:

It was not maybe even a mile from your college. Right on the Stadium Road. If from your college you start walkimng towards Khatoon-e-Pakistan .. you pass it and maybe half a mile down that road is Liaquat National Library

aap ne paRh likh ke dubo diya PG …

though off topic, but felt light saying, I HATE WRITEING/ UNDERLINING ON BOOKS, sorry

heard about Allama Iqbal Library, but never visited. another good library i used to go was in KU. actually mostly used the libraries in the schools/colleges/unis except Liaquat National.

and you know what! there will be hardly any college going boy in khi who doesn’t know where the Liaquat National is : p

perh likh ker miany rastay he naapnay thay hoonh

app larkoon ko is library ka sirf is ley pata hay kion k do do GIRLS college kay saamnay say guzar ker jo wahan jana hota hai .. or kia pata perhnay jatay thay k kia kernay …chai

jee …or us ki wajah per mainy roshnee bhi daal dee hay

Re: Libraries

^ ye qaom ke me'maaroon par ilzaam ke siwa aur kuch nahi, wo sab wahan parhnay jaatay thay, aur us library tak pohonchnay kay aur bhee raastay hain

thats great tlk that you and your family are so into libraries :)

here in the uk, libraries are growing less popular, most kids just go to use the internet than read books.

myself im a complete bookworm and took many trips to the library (just 2 mins from home lol)with my sisters as a kid. ive worked in a library too, and i agree the atmosphere is pretty unique, calming and friendly and welcoming :)

Re: Libraries

^ I worked in my university library during my graduation days .. it was a great experience. I read so many books during those days.

And TLK bhaii aap to khud library finish ker rahey hain apni beti ko Ipad dila ker :D

Re: Libraries

Touche' ...:D

Re: Libraries

My Father has a large number of books in his library but that Library consists of Books on Islam and History only. The Novels & Safarnama’s (Travelogue ) which i read no more with me as my friends always took the book from me and never returned so now i’ve only E-Books :frowning: … But now a days I rarely found a person of my age interested in books :teary3: I don’t know why it is? May e their parents were not interested in literature so they too or any thing else :hmmm:
