Liberated

I actually feel liberated after deleting my Facebook account 6 months ago.

I dont sit around wasting my life on ther
I dont stalk random people
I have alot more privacy
I am so much less involved to gossip, i hardly know anything anymore so nothing to gossip about
People gossip about me so much less now

Does anyone else actively not have a facebook account?

Re: Liberated

If I deleted my facebook I'd feel cut off from all my friends.

Re: Liberated

:mash2: Allah nazr bud say bacha-a. Ameen.

Re: Liberated

actually It has made me put more effort into my friends and I put extra effort into calling and texting them.

The other 300 random people on my fb account....hasnt really made a difference to my life tbh!

Re: Liberated

seems like someone is putting all blame on FB instead of herself :)

Re: Liberated

^ Maybe

But i do know my life is so much better without it and I do not miss it.

Re: Liberated

gud 4 u:biggthumb:

Re: Liberated

i found FB very **intrusive and uncontrollable***. ppl put way too much private info. it can be outright dangerous, especially for young impressionable minds.*

i DELETED my accounts within days of opening one!!! :D

Re: Liberated

I have an account but my use of it is mostly limited to posting links or sending private messages to people whom I have on my friends list.

Re: Liberated

i find it annoying. sick of cousins uploading pictures/videos of their babies every hour. “look at us we’re so happy”

I find facebook to be very superficial.

Re: Liberated

I de-activated mine 8 month ago for exact same reasons. I was an addict and was wasting my time away. Felt so librated afterwards. My acocunt is still there but I do not think I will ever go back to it.
This does not mean I do not miss things about it. I have lost touch with friends too and it is hard to keep up with emails/texts/calls....and also I miss out on events/social gatherings going on around the city. However in the end it is not worth my precious time being wasted away :)

P.S. I agree FB is big time gossip hub and everything people add on it now seems so superficial looking for attention.

Re: Liberated

Am I glad, no grateful that God did not put the idea in my head to open Face Book account. Most of them are retards looking for attention mom and dad didn't give 'em.

Re: Liberated

HI FIVE!

Re: Liberated

LOL, I don't think facebook holds enough importance in my life for me to feel liberated if I get rid of it.

Re: Liberated

but now you found GS…:nahi:

Re: Liberated

Thats good you know. I just got addicted to it :s

Re: Liberated

FB for me is a very good way to keep in touch with friends around the world but i have been thinking about deleting my account for the reason that some times too much of information is shared on fb, even though i have always been taking certain precautions like dont discuss family on wall or dont let my colleagues see my wall.

There was a report i saw that more and more people are quitting fb these days and this number was arond 700,000 for the last months (though fb denied this report). So lets see what i do in coming weeks :)

Re: Liberated

I am in the process of deactivating my fb account as well. I did live quite an interesting time on FB but havent been active since last 5 months or so.

oh well, lets see if I do it fully or not.

Re: Liberated

even if you delete your account, fb still keep all your data. In case i decided to do that, i will, atleast, remove all my albums first.

Re: Liberated

Not v active on fb....but its nice to be in touch with frnds
