Religiously, I would expect everyone to have conservative views. Because there isn't any grey in religion it's mostly black and white. Either you believe in something or you don't.
Culturally, socially, politically everybody varies. I would consider myself a conservative where my religious views are concerned but at the same time I would consider myself moderately liberal culturally and politically. I would also consider myself a liberal when it comes to accepting other people's views/beliefs etc.
So this again is very variable. For instance I would consider TLK & psyah bhai as very liberal politically and in terms of being liberal to new ideas, beliefs and opinions around them but religiously I doubt they would ever be liberal on principles. Again this is just my opinion/observation.
Dudette, no one's upset. I should've probably used more smilies to show that I'm actually enjoying this debate, I'm intrigued, I feel enlightened, please continue.
Mostly, all diehard followers of ALL RELIGIONS have conservative views. Tell me, would you let your daughter wear a bikini?
If to be a liberal, I must let my daughter wear a bikini, let her have sex before marriage, let my son booze away, I'm happy staying in the conservative category. Or kuch?
Theorist: I would classify her as a liberal (politically, socially and culturally) but when it comes to desi women **rights **she is a hardcore conservative :D

Dude, if its liberatistic or whatever it is one thinks they are, whats there for us to argue with? especially with questions that brings in a daughter and a bikini together. notsureifsrsman.

Being in the UK, I would think you wouldn't have these kind of stereotypes. I'm kinda friends with a girl who lives next door to my aunt in Nottingham. I've seen pictures of her in a bikini, but she's not a slut and her younger brother isn't a drunkard....
Let's get one thing clear...religiously, y'all are pretty conservative. This is why I don't want to discuss religion. I am mainly addressing cultural, social, and political views.

Please, will you clarify your point? I don't understand what you are trying to say.

Religion has a major impact on culture. You can't discuss culture without discussing religion, esp with Desis and Muslims.

See barbieque, compared to IceSoul and myself, you are a conservative,,,probably 90% of GS is. This is what I am comparing you to. You can't possibly be in the same category as IceSoul.
lol noo…Theorist I was classifying *you *like that … and the rights bit was said in a humorous sense..if you get what I mean.
for BBQ (i think) she’s a total conservative where religious views are concerned so obviously if someone would say ‘mai namaz nai parhta/perhti’ ya the bikini example IceSoul gave ..the ‘spade is a spade’ would apply on that ..and it makes sense. No black and white in religion at least not in Islam.
But other than that I would say BBQ is moderately liberal in all the other 3 categories.
I'd wear a bikini (but not run up and down the street in it lol), wouldn't that make me liberal.. oh as well as being a 'feminazi' for not encouraging living with inlaws :D
