i didnt make this confusing, its simply how it is. Purdah CAN be interpreted in many ways. Why are you so certain t means putting a bag over your wife or sister or mother?
If you have doubts and questions over what is literal and what isnt in Islam, your problem is with Islam not me. Ask Allah SWT when you see him way some things were so vague and so easily misinterpreted?
If God had wanted us to know everything as it should be, he would have made it so. That he hasnt only means that its left to our own intellect to understand…
