What were the movtives of the person who assassinated Liaquat Ali Khan? Was he sent by an organization or was it on personal level. I heard he was some afghani. Obviously it was never fully discovered who was the major culprit behind it. What have you read or heard about this. Please enlighten my curiosity :halo:

It was by a pakhtun(afghan) from the Zadran tribe I believe. From what I heard he shot him for speaking bad about Afghanistan. I don't know how true that is, whether or not that was his motive, but this is what I have read.

One of those conspiracies..Liaqat Ali Khans wife and son as well as several prominent Muslim leaguers believed there was some form of conspiracy planned. The Afghan man was disarmed and then killed..to add to that he was with his children at the time..apparently out sight seeing. The real story will probably never be told..similar to many conspiracy trials and mysterious murders that happened in Pakistan.

he got shot in his filthy mouth for insulting Pashtun/Afghans of Afghanistan. The guy who shot him in the mouth is my dads sisters husbands uncle…he deserved it for badmouthing afghans.

The dominent theory is some people high in beaucracy had conspired against him. Immediately before his death, he had decided to remove Malak Ghulam Mohammad, the bureaucrate who later became governer general. Sentiments were high against him and influential Punjabis had blamed to work against Punjab's interests.

Whatever was the story it was bad for Pakistan that we lost an icon. A big loss.

OK. Then why mentioned that he remained a UP-wallah when all he wanted was to be a Pro-Pakistan all his life. Up-ites wanted to be Pakistani and are Pakistani since migration.

I am not questioning that bro. May Allah give barqat to UP and UPites.. its a great state in India that has given Amitabh bachchan and Raj Babbar to the world ( I donno more than that). The reason I asked this is because someone said that his family belongs to the Nawabs of Lucknow.. I know who are you referring to :D

He was the first prime minister of Pakistan, and he fought for Pakistan along with Jinnah. He was famous for his simplicity. When he died, his sherwani had "pewands" (stiches), he wore that sherwani over and over again but refused to waste money on himself.
Looking at the politicians of Pakistan now. They make sure they get every penney in their pocket. I think he was very underrated.

khan liaquat ali khan was nawab of karnal former east punjab and presently haryana.The haryana state like himachal pradesh was part of punjab but many cities of that state are hindi/urdu speaking.so cities and towns of haryana bordering UP,rajasthan and dehli are all hindi/urdu speaking and are more close to UP and rajhasthan then punjab.Famous urdu poet altaf husain hali was also from this region.
Yeah some people blame him for quaids death that he delibrately didnot send the ambulance to ziarat.He was pro UP and he is accused of giving lands to UP walas.He had a soft stance on kashmir etc.
But the fact is quaid e millat was a great leader people can accuse him but he gave everything for pakistan.Secondly there was also an incident where he refused to go to US because the americans were giving him less protocol than indian PM at that time and said that he should be recieved at the airport just like the indian PM.
