Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf (merged)

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Bilal Musharaf seems like he's as big a fool as his father...

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Again, I don't want to poke fun of your English. At least try to make sense, as your first sentence dwells into criticism.

I can't believe I have to explain this, but maybe you are a little slow I suppose.

in a listserv message the only two things that appear are the listserv email, and the person who authored the comment. Its fairly easy to mistakenly reply to the actual listserv as opposed to the individual. I fail to see how hard this is to comprehend.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

In a wierd sense kicking musharraf out and putting in nawaz again will ironically by the end of rock bands...once again in Pakistan. You have to be selfish to play the cards the way UNCLE SAMan ahmed is playing them. Trying to be all important like. I suppose since the Western love pet worked for Benazir, he may think he has a chance at some sort of regular mainstream media coverage?

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

All very good…but why do I see an element of selective struggle, a fad, popular protesting culture and opposition merely out of fashion?

What is Salman Ahmed doing for the common Pakistani?
Did he dare to oppose the regimes who banned them and their videos?
Did he dare to oppose the influentials who rape helpless women, steal wealth from the deserving, those who dodge law as a personal hobby?
Why did he never get up and stir his support and opposition against countless social wrongs that exist in Pakistan since forever which directly effect the common man’s life and existence every day much more as compared to a so called dictatorial regime??
Why did he never feel this against any other issue faced by Pakistan and common Pakistanis;**
“staying silent under the present conditions that Pakistan is undergoing, is no longer an option”…?**
Why was/is **“staying silent under the present conditions that Pakistan is undergoing, is no longer an option” **not an option for him and many like him, when feudals wrong helpless commoners.

22 peasants freed from landlord’s ‘prison’

Or when political figures defy rules, oppress common ppl. Or when terrorists terrorize localities, kill, bomb, extort…?

Ppl like him and even Imran Khan could be much better off if they started at that level and actualy delivered in areas where their support is, and could build up more, before taking on the national govt issues or having over ambitous dreams about being something big and important without actually doing anything significant or worthwhile for the common Pakistanis who matter most at the end of the day. Yes Imran is a legend when it comes to his SKMH, but standing up for the wronged, deprived, supprting them against oppression and protesting for their well being and rights is what matters. Right now all protests translate to ‘Go Mush Go’, ‘Come BB come’, ‘Come CJ come’, ‘Come Geo come’, ‘Come Nawaz Come’. I’m afraid that’s either hypocrisy, blatant selfishness or perhaps inability to perceive beyond.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Remember Choudrays of Gujrat? They are the biggest thugs in the country under the patronage of you beloved dictator. And, that is why you need strong civil institutions, like judiciary, so that people rights are protected.

Cal it whatever you like, but army has no right to rule the country. Let people of Pakistan decide their own destiny through free, fair and democratic means. Pakistan was not created by corrupt generals who are eating our country from inside out like termites w/o any accountability.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Creating awareness, raising his voice on their behalf, and he has done many charity concerts for issues in Pakistan.

Yes, if you have read his previous articles that were posted on the forum then you wouldn’t be asking this question. He has openly opposed BB in Washington post. I have quoted part of his article for you. And he opposes Mr. Sharif aswell. This article was written before Musharraf went to Saudia to bring Nawaz back, therefore you don’t see his name mentioned.

P.S. I will reply to rest of your post later. At the moment, I have to get back to my books, its finals week.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

You can make as much fun as you want, I really don't care.

I have failed to understand why it is so difficult for you to accept the fact that what Musharraf's son did was wrong. It didn't make any sense.
Now what was the purpose of all that yip yap on the news message that said Salman Ahmed will be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. He will be dedicating his performance to the Pakistan lawyer’s movement, civil society, students, media, and human rights activist.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

A wanna be goraa? WouldN't he keep silent on this very moment then, when all the gora powers made fake deals under the table with Mush and co?

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

At least he is not throwing people in jail just because they don’t agree with him
He is not destroying a whole institution just so that he could retain power.
He is not using the terrorist card to stay in power.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Its kind of like how normal people fail to understand why its so difficult for you to accept that salman ahmeds singing is so very wrong. It doesn't make any sense.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

And what does Salman Ahmed singing (that if he can sing or not sing) has to do with his stance on a socio political issue in Pakistan?

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

What a childish drama.

Bilal would do better with better diplomatic dialogue, short and to the point. Or he should keep his trap shut.

Salman is an overly emotional "feel-good" guy. Bholta baut hai. Bholne do.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

PCG,
I would expected more respect for Salman from your side or have you not recognized he is a Pakistani celebrity. Is your love only for fashion designers who keep their mouths shut backing your choice of Leader?

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

salman has just been looking for new avenues after ali azmat dumped him to get fame cos he is still in the dump ali threw him in.
he should start new new job sitting in new york on the street with his gutair singing, 'ALVID ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' im sure people will feel sorry for him and give him some money.

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Does Bilal Musharraf really have "faith in autocracy as being able to deliver on all fronts" ?

What an idiot!

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

who is salman

and bilal is musharraf's son right

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

hahahah Bilal Musharraf... who is he... the son of some little tin pot despot hiding in the US...

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Will this be enough to kill the rockstar?
:D

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

Yeah…

*“When you listen to Klashinfolk you’ll understand what I’m talking about because the sound-scapes, they (Salman Ahmed and Brian O’Connell) couldn’t create it. Salman Ahmed is a good songwriter but he was not a good producer. I don’t own any Junoon music because I can’t relate to it. From a production’s stand-point, that is not what I want to hear.”
*-Ali Azmat

I’m defintely a Salman and Junoon fan, but politics is a diff ball game…

Re: Letter exchange b/w Salman Ahmed and Bilal Musharraf

No! Many kids/people living abroad don't take interest in desi music or lets say pakistani music and stuff and therefore they might not know about pakistani celebrities.
