I do feel bad for Bilal too but if I was Musharraf's son or a dictator's child (which i am really thankful to Allah that I am not), I would have stayed quite knowing what my father is doing or has done is wrong.

musharraf's son seemed quite calm in his email. on the other hand salman seemed like he was sitting on a hot chair.
looks like a cheap publicity stunt to me. It is quite clear from the first email that it was not addressed to salman ahmad so why did he address bilal personally and then make the contents public?

It was a mass e-mail which was forwarded to Salman after Bilal's response. And why did Bilal responded to everyone, if he really wanted to respond, he should have just responded to the person it came from and not the entire list. And Salman did the right thing of replying to it. And no he is not sitting on a hot chair; if he was he would have responded to all that personal stuff too. But he did let it go and only responded to the public part stating his stance. You can call it a publicity stunt because you'll never accept the fact but in reality it is not.

Waysay it is a shame that instead of being proud that an artist from Pakistan has been invited, we are bashing him because of our personal difference of opinion and choice. And if Salman Ahmed was such a low class singer/musician thatyou are trying to portray him as, no one would invite him on such occassions.

Bilal made the only error, a genuine mistake very likely, to click on the reply all button. I have done it, and many people in class list servers have done it unintentionally. Just like your post is riddled with lyrical and grammatical errors, he may have pressed the reply all by mistake. He doesn't need the extra attention.

it is nice to see so many people standing up and caring - i think nawaz sharif and bhutto should retire from politics as pakistan is a changed country politically and they would not know how to respond to it.

Then your claim that it was a mistake is wrong. It was intentional. :) Oh and don't say that a guy from Stanford was clueless on how to only respond the sender and not the entire list or he didn't know that by clicking reply, the message will be forwarded to the entire list and not just the sender.
