Re: let’s translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

waisay to number(s) kee urdu Adad/Aadaad ho gee lekin yahan lafzi tarjumay kee zaroorat nahi ..

Like you dont call Doctor, Tabeeb in your regular spoken urdu. There are many english words that are used as they are in spoken urdu (TV, Phone and many)

Re: let's translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

**agree...urdu ne jin alfaaz ko qubool kar liyaa hai unke tarjume kii chandaaN zaroorat nahiiN ...

...vaise, tabeeb yaa mo'aalij ka iste'maal aaj bhii muravvij hai...Khaas kar hamaare buzurgwaraan aur Halqa e urdu meN. :)**

Re: let's translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

That is true. Moaalij and Tabeeb are still in use though not as common.

Re: let's translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

oops Acha adaad to hain naa sahi urdu

Re: let’s translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

**singular = adad
plural = aadaa~ [no [COLOR=red]“D” at the end; ~ = Harf-e-“Hamzah”]
**

Re: let’s translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

Very nice information KKF :k: You are really good in urdu adab

Re: let’s translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

No way man. In Urdu, its Aadaad with D (daal) at the end …maybe in arabic its hamzah .. like Ayaa vs Ayaat (quranic verses)

Re: let's translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

**urdu meN bahot se aise alfaaz haiN jinkii muta'addid soorateN variations] haiN jaise:

Khaamoshii
Khaamshii
Khamoshii [NO alif after Khe]

isii taraH aadaa~ aur aadaad donoN variations haiN magar aadaad ham ziyaada tar us waqt iste'maal karte haiN jab uske saath ham kisii aur lafz ko musta'mil karte haiN [jisko ham izaafat vaao 'ataf kahte haiN] jaise aadaad o shumaar...aadaa o shumaar nahiiN kahte. aadaad salees/roz-marrah kii bol chaal waali urdu meN kabhii iste'maal kar bhii lete haiN magar saqeel/adabii urdu meN to maiN ne kabhii nahiiN paRhaa aur na hii sunaa...ho saktaa hai meraa exposure itnaa na ho.

izaafat kii roo se ham Harf-e-daal giraa dete haiN. ek rule yeh bhii hai k agar ham izaafat karte haiN un alfaaz ke saath jinkaa iKhtitaam Harf-e-"noon" par hotaa hai to usko ham "noon Ghunna" [nasal N] meN mutabaadil kar dete haiN jaise:

jahaan
kamaan
makaan

ab inko ham daur-e-jahaan nahiiN kah sakte bal k use ham daur-e-jahaaN kaheNge...isii taraH teer-e-kamaaN aur andaroon-e-makaaN kaheNge.

ummeed hai k baat ab saaf ho gaii hogii.**

Re: let’s translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

bachon ki zarooriyat farahim karne wale idaaray mein khushamadeed. waqt subha no(9) baje se giyaarah(11) baje tak. bara-e-meherbaani paanch ek no-panch panch paanch-ek do ek do mila kar ke mulaqat ka waqt le lein.

ab is se ziyada kya modify hoga :naak:

Re: let's translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

You did not give me an example of where we use Adaa' in Urdu . I am sure I am wrong but I never heard the use of word Adaa' instead of aadaad in urdu.

Re: let's translate SIGNS in Urdu, English or Hindi

24 ghante tou ho chuke hain magar phir bhi yeh raha mera tarjuma

"Bachon ki zaroorat ke taqseem markaz main khush-amdeed
auqaat: subha nau baje ta subha gayrah baje
baraaye meher baani mulaqaat tay karne ke liye phone kijiye (paanch ek nau paanch paanch paanch ek do ek do) per.
