which ones hav u used on ur face n absolutely love it.
i hav so far tried
castor oil, olive, vitE (pure), vitE +safflower, almond(not sweet one), joboba and rose hip seed.
out of these i like vitE +safflower…although i hav’t seen any obvious benefits from using it, i love its feel on my skin. the pure one is too thick n sticky but combo is good.
joboba…this one works absolutely gr8 whenever i hav flaky skin after using exfoliaters n retinols. is very light n non-greasy n gives no break outs
rose hip seed… i havn’t used it for long but i still feel it does something good for my skin n add a glow. is again light n non-greasy. doesn’t break me out.
others giv me breakouts. i quite hated almond oil on face but i stil use it for hair now.
I have been suffering from acne for about 17 years now. I have come to terms with the fact that nothing will really cure me from it (except pregnancy, lol).
About 2 weeks ago i was really fed up with my skin. As someones recomendation on this forum a long time ago, i had bought grapeseed and jojoba oils for my undereye area. I looked up their reviews on makeupalley.com and decided to give them a try on my facial skin. Well, i havent seen a miracle but my skin really has calmed down Alhamd. There were a few really stubborn spots that werent going away for months now. They have also disappeared.
So this is how i use them: I use grapeseed oil as a precleanser. Massage it on my face and then use a warm towel on my face or just splash warm water. Then i remove the oil with my cleanser (i use olay). And then moisturise with jojoba oil. Like i said, its not a miracle but certainly my acne is more manageable than it has been lately. Its not doing much for my undereye area so far though, so i think i will have to try olay prox for that.
mehrunisa actually joboba oil helps in acne n grapeseed is good for acne prone skin too. these r non-comedogenic oils that won't clog pores. most acne meds r very dry n these oils help calm down that dry, irritated skin.
Ira for lines under eyes rosehip is good. it has natural vit.A but again oils work really slow n u don't see results overnight.
there was a time when using oils on face/hair was considered pure desi, paindu thing but now all big brands use various oils in their skin/ hair care products and ppl buy them happily.
has anyone here ever tried argan oil or moroccon oil?
I have used olive oil through out the season on my face. The aim was to keep my skin moist and it worked well. This time i ran out of olive oil and i was told almond oil is good alternative. I used it for like 10-12 days, 2 twice a day and then my university was over. I didnt care all that much and just applied almond oil once in a day or so. Mind you i had very clear skin. But i got very small but reddish pimples on lower cheeks. and also my skin would be almost flaky when i woke up in mornings. it felt like skin was thining. Now i have switched back to my regular moisturizer. I am not sure if almond oil is to be blamed. But now i am just cautious.
