My mom was telling me about this and mentioned how she will like to have one for my baby in the US.. does anyone know what it is and what it looks like and where do you find it the US?

She said I will forever be greatful to her if she can introduce that to me and my child.. sounds soo very tempting and magical

ive seen that in pakistan in our village. the women would tie a chaddar to their manji like a hammock. I remember sitting on the manji and using my legs to sway the thing back and forth for the baby to sleep.

and yes I haev had seen that in Pakistan but didnt know it was called bajungi!! Now I do! but anyway, I never liked those to begin with.. cant believe Ammi proposed that to me !!!

although i have to say, the new trend of papier maché animals heads is disturrrbbinggg. i just find it creepy, real or fake. if i was a kid, it would scare the crap out of me- like, where’s the rest of the animal, mommy???

I saw that on my recent trip to Pakistan. Not only the baby was under bed but the damn lights were turned down as well. As I sat on the bed with my son, I felt something was hanging behind my legs. To my surprise it was a baby in chaddar swing.

^lol oh yeah I have seen that… I was asked to put my child in when we went to Pakistan and he was only 4 months old but I refused.. I just couldnt see myself doing that to him even though I saw my SIL’s daughhter in it. To each their own I guess

blossoming flowers… we have moved three times already and he is 25 months now mashaAllah so we dont have that room anymore.. it was really cute and fun.. if I find pics somewhere of just his room and not anyone in it, I will share! We are now off to the world of toddler and twin bed and construction truck vehicle bedspreads
