Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

eeeks ome of these should be mommy's bedroom and not teh child's nursery:D

so very elegant and cute though!!!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

What sort of alphabets are you getting?? I really liked the Peter Rabbit set above but each letter is $25--$25 x 26 is toooo much:(:(

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

BR.. I ordered a set of unfinished wooden letters on etsy.. I havent received them yet so cant review them. But here is the link to the set:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/74676830/set-of-wooden-alphabet-letters-mixed

My husband and I plan to paint and decorate them to match the nursery!!

check out this link if you want to buy a set:

I remember Hallmark used to have something similar and each letter was no more than 5 bucks.. but that was long time ago!!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

of all the fancy nurseries i’ve seen, i gotta say this is my favourite! its the right balance of fuss and frills and oddly, minimalism too. totally not overdone.

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

that is awesome. unfortunately since my closet will never look like that, there isn’t a hope my baby’s will :stuck_out_tongue:

plus i think hanging onesies is just asking for trouble- everyday use ones work better for me folded up and ready to grab, although they do look pretty when hung up.

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

I LOVE your alphabet set, omg!!! the fonts are delicious!!

BR, babies r us has wooden alphabets ready to be painted, all caps though, for 4.99 each. thats the canadian price, so i’m sure in america its .99 cents :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

sgc.. I loved the fonts too hence the order!!! I hope they meet my expectations.. he custom cuts each order so lets see!!!

BR.. if you are in the US and wanted just the capital letters then here is where I have seen them:

Burlington Coat Factory $5 each
Michaels $3-4 each
Kohl's ONLINE on clearance for 2 bucks (but that was about 2 weeks ago)

but nothing like the ones you are interested in!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

hayeeee…this is so cute…!!
I wish I had space to put stuff like this…:frowning:
But then if I was hanging everything on hangers,it would have taken me so long…I already detest sorting and folding laundry, who would have hung it on hangers..:frowning:

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

^i love it tooo and I have exactly the same closet in cuppycake's room which is empty right now(only for him) but I was just thinking how do you reach the dresses on top?

I do have the bottom two rods so I dont think I can put anything in the middle like this dresser in there!!! But yes VERY ORGANIZED!!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

^^ Where'd you get yours from?

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

do you mean the bottom rods???

It just how closet was designed when we moved to this new place!!!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

I love the organized closet!!!!!! Midget's looks somewhat like that minus the dresser ..... I prefer hanging clothes...all his t's, trousers and jackets plus sweaters are in hangers....But im not mad enuff to hang the onesies and rompers... I would run outta space!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

Ok so at what month/age would you ladies move your lil ones to their own nursery/own room??

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

He slept there fromthe beginning though just for naps...at night i would keep him..He got kicked out at 6 months when he started to sleep through the night...so the nursery it was.

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

We plan to keep him in our room inthe bassinet until my maternity leave (6-8 weeks) and then into his crib in his room... we do have a twin mattress in his room in case one of us needs to be there during the transition phase.

But it's our first child so who knows, im sure he will come with his own agenda so I am totally flexible with that.. he may end up sleeping in our room until he turns 18 :D

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

he’s 2 months old and i co-sleep with him. he hated his bassinet- i think he found it too big and he likes to be all cosy and close. we bought the first year’s co-sleeper to put him in until a couple of weeks ago when he got too tall for it, so now he sleeps on the bed with me but far enough from me and with no blankets or pillows near him. i would absolutely recommend this product in case babies don’t like bassinets- http://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Secure-Sleeper-Colors/dp/B00012CHFI - or you have a chunker, because bassinet-on-stand weight limits are 12 lbs or so, and if your baby is bigger, it won’t last. i found it too big to have on the bed next to me and not on the stand.

i also find this way when he wakes up for a feed, or is restless because he needs to burp, i can just reach over and grab him. the bassinet meant i had to get up and walk over- it was pretty tiring doing that multiple times in the night esp. after a c-section.

i’m planning to start putting him down for naps in his crib very soon (right now he naps in his bouncer or swing), and when he’s sleeping thru the night then he’ll move into the nursery full time.

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

My baby still sleeps with me (not that I have another room). He sleeps in his bassinet though. At first, I thought he didn't like it. Like SGC's baby he also wanted to be cozy and wanted to sleep with us. It was very cold too when he was born. But I refused to put him anywhere but his basinett. It was a lot of struggle. But now he sleeps just fine in it. Now however, I think he is too big for the basinett and he can easily roll over which scares me hence the question what is the right age to put them in seperate room. He rolled over this morning when I wasn't watching him, I wasn't in the room. Scary!

Re: lets share the nurseries or ideas for nurseries..

have you girls ever heard of bajungi?? its like a hammock under a bed and feels like a womb!!

My mom was telling me about this and mentioned how she will like to have one for my baby in the US.. does anyone know what it is and what it looks like and where do you find it the US?

She said I will forever be greatful to her if she can introduce that to me and my child.. sounds soo very tempting and magical :D
