Re: Lets invite Taliban to Lahore
They might have been protesting ag/the Jamiat's behavior, but they were protesting AGAINST Imran Khan's arrest. His support of the MMA, his support of anti-government activity in Wazirstan, his criticisms of the government's anti-terror work on the border, and his support for the Lal Masjid goons have ALL earned him what he's getting.
I'm sorry. I am muslim too, and I don't like to see any blood spilled if we can help it. But I do not support any militant activity, and I don't think its representative of Islam or muslims, and its the last thing that the muslim world needs right now. The idea that someone as famous as he is, roosting with these idiots, has had me very disappointed in him. People who are supporting Imran Khan are in essence supporting terrorism. That man deserves to go in front of a anti-terrorism court.
Furthermore, he should not have been at that college in the first place. He wasn't invited to speak. The students clearly did not want his presence there, by the obvious way they called the police on him. He trespassed territory to come in, he had no permission to be there. He wanted to rally a bunch of students away from their studies and risk their lives for his politics. I think that reeks of IMMATURITY.
You are supporting Musharraf by words. He made deals with Taliban in past. While we are asleep he is having Mullah Omar at his door knocking, threatening with more retaliation, unless Mushy comes back begging Taliban to spare his head.
Taliban and ISI talks are on going these days (underground). As Pak's President and Chief of Army staff I would expect more courage from him. Talibans recognisation will make dictators position even worse.
Inqalaab Zindabad.
