Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
what do you think of the Karma Sutra then. Surely that is the most forward thinking "modern" etc etc religious texts, in terms of human sexuality? It is even used as a reference guide for non-hindus. Shock, horror.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
^Not really, it's a good guide.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
I've heard it all now. Do the generalizations you make about non-Muslims and the righteousness you assign to all Muslims know any bounds whatsoever? Now the claim that Muslims pioneered sex? Which Muslims was it that invented the wheel? Sliced bread? Myopia is closing in on you to the point of absurdity.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
what about dudes with more than one spouse? Or, fat and old toads marrying sweet sixteens year olds, how can they saitsfy their partner needs? It takes two to tango.......
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
^ Good question. It sure makes the following claim slightly ridiculous, doesn't it?
[quote]
The man knows, that this girl I am sleeping with right now has been with many before me and will be with many after me...The woman knows the same thing about the man...While they may be engaged in this act by the flesh, their spirits never come together so they cannot experience the rapture of true love making...The knowledge of prior relations and the eventual and certain breakup make the sort of intimacy that Muslims achieve, unattainable for westerners...
In order to be in a fulfilling relationship, one has to make sure that the partner they are going to marry is a physically and spiritually pure person and to keep one's own self pure and far from impurity for one's self...Only then will the two people in marriage achieve the true pleasure from sex both physically and spiritually...

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
seminole what can one do, you get all kinds..ya know. but what is being said is nto some universal truth enbraced by everyone.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
Mr F, I know that. There are all kinds in all walks of life/faiths/BB/etc. There isn't one pov in any group that is agreed upon by all (no matter how hard may want to believe otherwise). When I address ridiculous threads like this, I know it is just one person's pov.
But I just can't resist. I deal with enough crazies from the Christian side in my every day life. This is just my chance to diversify my angst over idiocy.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
oh, please go ahead and address your angst over idiocy. I did not mean to stop you or correct you. I just was adding my two cents and stating the obvious for everyone's benefit...especially because it seems that for some people, especially those who write thh stuff that is the cause of angst of people like you and I, the obvious...is not too obvious.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
shush oye! u just killed the whole fatwa on spirits coming together and purity.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
Ok. Allah is the only Judge.
Move on people !
Re: Let’s get it on…The Islamic way…
spirits can come together with purity in series and not batch…ya know
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
Yeah, nothing makes the spirits never come together to experience the rapture of true love making like bedding a couple of other women when you are done with the first for the night.
I mean what else can* bestow such tenderness between the 5 hearts that can not be put into words* like having 4 wives?
Too bad western women can't experience such phenomenal feelings of fulfilment.
At least this makes the part of Lajawab's post whe he said Muslim men have always had to to work extra hard than men of other faiths make sense.
Re: Let’s get it on…The Islamic way…
Unless they are having an affair ![]()
PS: just thought I would keep the discussion balanced
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
Sure they can (and many do!) But according to the thread starter, the intimacy that Muslims achieve is unattainable for westerners. Unless he wants to clarify and say that is only achieved when a Musilm man decides to take just one wife.
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
come on semi you're just jealous at the bliss and stuff and whatever else he said
Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
ppl just like arranged marriages because it comes with a scapegoat

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...
All women want is security and assurance of fidelity by the man they marry...Even if he be married to three other women...
Imagine the scenario of a divorced or widowed women in other cultures or religions...Especially in Hinduism, where many were sacrificed on the pyres of their dead husbands...Imagine how grateful such a woman would be if given a second chance in life to live the life of a married woman once again...Imagine how totally devoted that woman would be at being given a second chance at another spousal relationship...Despite being a 2nd, 3rd or 4th wife...
However, such is not the case in western cultures, where single moms have to eke out a living after having a one month relationship with the boy next door...And in case she doesn't get pregnant, then she gets tossed around like a sexual football gratifying the lusts of every dude and buddy for the price of a couple of long island teas...
Most ignorant people, which include Muslims themselves, who are not aware of Islam tend to throw the 4 wives argument everytime spousal relationships are mentioned in reference to Islam...But that is not their fault...Ignorance has a bad habit of oozing out of the skin at the most importune moments...
4 marriages is not a norm in any Islamic culture from anyplace...It is an option, albeit with a clause...Sort of like, it's OK to kill someone, but the clause must be that it had to be in self defence...Similarly, Islam's clause is, you can marry 2, 3 or 4 wives if you can treat them with equal love, care and provisions...
I know, I know, you'll probably throw in some example of an Arab marrying 4 wives in India from FOX news or some other place...However, a microscopic segment of society does not in any way represent the majority as a whole...If that were the case, then we would have to assume that all Americans are like Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy or Ted Bundy...It would have to be a totally ignorant person to believe such a thing...Or be an American who watches CNN or Fox...I really can't tell the difference...
However, there are those that rightly marry 2, 3 or 4 wives...In my life, I have never met anyone with more than 2 wives, and even that only once...I am talking about my life and trust me, I have seen a lot...But even if they do marry multiple wives, the women of the Muslim household know, that the affection of their husband will not be squandered on haramkari with other promiscuous women and the man knows the same...So the affection of the man is equally divided inside the home of a multiple married man...
So, all in all, bringing up the 4 wives issue is as moot as bringing up spiritual affections in the western world...It's almost non-existent...
As for older guys marrying sweet 16 year olds is concerned, well, there is as old adage about such a marriage in Urdu that goes, Aurat beesi main peesi aur mard saatthay ka paattha...
If you are so concerned about older men marrying women of a younger age, then you should adopt a different approach...Marry an older woman...Why criticise those that do marry young ones? Strangely enough, if I speak out against abnormalities such as homosexuality or premarital sex, people advise me to mind my own business, however should I promote something that I believe in, people want to mind my business too...If someone says it's OK for an older guy to marry a younger girl, then people are up in arms but God forbid should anyone say anything about gays...Such confused people...
Anyways, the discussion is taking its usual interesting twists and turns...
Pakora: Your response reminds me of an old Japanese saying which was spoken in terms of the benefits of following Confucianism..."The mind is like a horse...Untrained and untethered it will wander in every which way and become wild...It needs discipline, training and restraint for it to become something useful and beneficial..."
