Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

I think alot of ppl tend to forget htat. It's not a must; just an option.

And the ones who do marry wrongly, well only Allah knows their intention..they'll get theirs in the next world.

Re: Let’s get it on…The Islamic way…

It seems rather obvious to me that the original post was interesting enough just because sex is not talked about openly in Islamic societies (either in media or in regular conversations) so whatever this Egyptian lady is doing is bound to raise some claps and some eye-brows and could have resulted in an all around excellent conversation here. All this was sacrificed by our beloved Lajawab when he decided to release his crowd favorite “I can’t talk about Islam until I prove how crappy Western culture is” mantra and on top of all that he plugged arranged marriages to boot.

Consequently now no one is talking about either the Egyptian lady nor the need (or not) for more openness in Islamic societies about sex, and the entire show is now focused on how stupid (or otherwise) Lajawab’s ideas about West are, and whether arranged marriages are really all that. Talk about sabotaging your own thread. Lajawab, please add another feather to your already colorful cap!

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

^^

How nice of you to bring the thread back on track...

What colour feather should I use? I already seem to have all black and blues...

Re: Let’s get it on…The Islamic way…

:k:

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

Lajawab bhai jaan, please pick a color of your choice. God knows you have earned it ... :)

By the way, coming back to the topic that originally started it all, personally I don't have a problem if someone sits on a pulpit and wants to dessimate their version of sex education to uneducated masses and have television cameras show it in our living rooms; however I do want some way of making sure that parents can decide for themselves what content they want their children to watch on the idiot box. Some material is not suitable for young children. In this regard, it doesn't matter to me if the person making the frank sexual discourse is wearing a head scraf or topi and is talking with reference to religious text or biology books or pull it out of their big fat arses like so many can do with such ease.

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

It's good you said that generalizing is not a good idea, however in the same post you say as below.

Generalizing = total ignorance (as per you). :)

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

I agree with you Faisal, the information have to have some kind of check (rating and contents). I have young children and I do have to be careful what is shown on TV.

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

Re: Let’s get it on…The Islamic way…

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

Reminds me of the joke where a child's paediatrician takes the mom of a 5-yr old aside and said "may be you need to monitor the television habits of your son a bit more carefully". The mom replied "why, do you see his eye-sight weakening?". "No", the doctor replied, "but he just asked me whether Cialis is right for him".

Re: Let's get it on...The Islamic way...

Re: Let’s get it on…The Islamic way…

Lajjo Jee,
Rather presumptious on your part, women like men also have natural urges and if their partner has divided attention then they will be left wanting, if u know what I mean. Fidelity is supposed to be a two way street.

When was the last time u read or heard about sati? tsk, tsk, desperate attempt to justify your position

quite pathetic analogy, so women sud consider themselves lucky to be alive and men are GIVING them another chance therefore have the right to marry more than one, againa as a favor to women.

Generalizations, generalizations. As if though divorced women have a great time in other cultures including Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist. Its the same everywhere. Your ideas are a product of too much fantasization and sensationalization, living in secluded, insecure environments that requires demonization of other cultures.

Again the main issue is being missed here. Point is how can a old fart satisfy a sixteen year old enzymes? When society has unsatisfied people then that society will have problems. If u know what I mean.:maulana:
