Aejaz,

To your comment, most ppl I know figure out and appreciate when a team gives their best. Winning and losing is secondry. We want all the players to give their very best and fight hard. The frustration is usually when we see players not applying themselves and giving up. If Woolmer, Inzi and the team is seen as giving their best, then even losing a few games here and there is not going to change the support they enjoy right now.

Pakistan lost a golden chance to beat West Indies this year. Pakistan did horribly in Australia last year. But I supported Bob Woolmer through it. When fans watch cricket matches instead of just checking out scorecards like some shmucks on Gupshup do, they can figure out exactly how much fight and determination the team is playing with, even if they are losing. Really.

Re: Let’s Admit It: Bob Woolmer is a Miracle Maker

We supported Pakistan through the lowest of lows, including losses to India in 1996, a Finals loss in 1999 and the home series losses to India. We’re not wobbly. We celebrate our successes and learn from our defeats. But even if our team loses repeatedly, we will always come back to support it.

I agree with most opinions here ............. i have to confess post 1999 i had lost all interest in cricket........ officially the worst day of my life that final in 1999.........................
But i have to say despite being not a natural leader Inzi has turned things around and most credit must go to Bob Woolmer and also PCB for facing all the criticism when team didnt do well in Austraila and home to India .............
I have to say this is not the most talented team we had , our team in 1999 was by far most talented in years with waseem, shoaib in full swing, saeed, razzaq, saqi ........ so it just goes to show what canbe achieved with team work and hard work on and off the field

All very good but when u see players not taking pride in what they do its hard to support them … after all they are select 11 from 147m … its not just abt winning now u can see players taking pride in what they do and what they represent
