Regarding the subject of the thread
First u should specify what the thing that is taught
I think that the thing that u r talking about is “Qura’an”….

]And at this point I remember the fact that a lot of people do not know what is the definition of the holy Qura’an, in Arabic:

هو كلامُ اللهِ تعالى وَوَحْيُهُ المُنَزَّلُ على خَاتَمِ أَنْبِيَائـِهِ محمدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم المَكتُوبُ في المُصْحَفِ ، المِنقُولُ إلينا بالتَّوَاتُرِ ، المُتَعَبَّدُ بتِلاوَتـِهِ ، المُتَحَدَّى بإِعجَازِهِ
In English:It is the Arabian talk of Allah and is his sent inspiration to the last of his prophets Mohammed (salla Allah alihi wa sallam) which is written in the holly book and is delivered to us by continious succession-that is the best I could found- and which is to warship by reciting it and the one challenged by its inimitability and its miraculous.
So, one of the conditions of the wards to be Qura’an is to be in Arabic, and that is not for the sake of racesim but for the sake of reserving it from changing and to keep its meaning in the right shape.

So in order to learn Qura’an properly the hafiz should memorize it in Arabic or else he is not learning Qura’an.

The cause that a lot of people encourage their children to learn Qura’an in their early life is the promised blessing he will get from Allah for the hafaza :
“Recite and be raised up as u were reciting” or as it was in the hadith qodosy.

And for those who are asking deep questions without even knowing the siplest about the subject…. In order to study Qura’an well u should be an excellent hafiz because Qura’an in many of its ayat release its knowledge by itself so u can get the help for understanding one ayah from another or other ones.

I am here living in the UAE and I see many of our praying leader who are from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and many other non Arabs, and many of them give regular lessons in Islamic issues like hadith, tafseer, shari’ah and other branches in their native languages (Urdu or malbari or others)

how will the majority of pakistani’s etc…etc …spouting gibberish in a foreign language help them to understand islam or its meanings?
