42 inch is a border line for palsma and lcd ..

get one plasma and one lcd

probabaly go with lcd

and from what I have been reading it does not make much sense to go for a 1080p vs a 720p in majority of the cases.

although it seems most places carry 1080p now anyways.

thoughts?

for the size you are buying, even if they carry 1080, you wont notice much difference in performance

unless you're 5 years old and sit an inch away from the screen, you wont be able to tell the difference between a 720 / 1080 on the sizes you're interested in.

yeah guys i realize it, but it seems beast bhai and circus ****ty are only carrying 1080s here. not sure why.

That is because Blue ray and HD DVD war is over , now DVD palyer production is going to shift high gears into Blue Ray DVD players only .. for that, you need 1080 to enjoy ..

Best Buy and Circuit City are being proactive retailers I think

Plasma is going and us ki technology bhi purani hai us ki screen mein gap hai meaning us ki screen peechay image chorti hai:vivo:
and here is my little information
Vizio kaa tv un logo ke liye acha hai jo yeh sochtay hain ke medium price mein big tv mil jaaye lots of people are buying this and aajkal 1080 aajkal recent technology hai.
when you go for TV atleast buy tv with two HDMI because naye DVD player ke liye zaroori hai.
Sharp ki LCD screen sab se behter hai picture quality mein
SAMSUNG’s stakes are high so woh definately 200 price mein above ho gaa
SONY as usual screen quality bohat behter hai.
And contrast ratio zaroor check kerni chahiye BEst buy per jaa ker poochain woh contrast ratio ki detail bata dein gay.
At the end
1-don’t go for plasma research hai yeh obselete technology hai
2-in LCDS see contrast ratio
3-Brand mein samsung,sharp,or SONY
4-Since TV ki technology bohat tezi se grow ker rahi hai atleast go for 1080p
5-Buy TV with atleast two HDMIS.

YOu can check consumer ratings on that one but I don't think so main ne is ki mashoori suni ahi :)

i thought in terms of lcd LG had better stuff than sony.
