Lazeeza falooda mix

Hi there. My mom’s found a falooda mix in the cupboard but in the plastic wrapping, she chucked the box away  Its the lazeeza one, so I cant read the recipe that comes with it, and i have forgotten how to make it. For those who have used this mix, could you please tell me how to make this falooda ?? Thankyou

Re: Lazeeza falooda mix

Sahds I have the same issue with Laziza's kulfi mix! :(

But i've made falooda from Laziza's mix before and from what I can remember, I boiled 2 liters of milk then added the whole packet of mix and cooked it for like 10-15 mins until the "spaghetti" gets tender and there's a nice falooda consistency.. not too watery and not too thick. I let it cool at room temp then put it in the fridge until it was nice and cold. Served it with vanilla ice cream, different color jello, and rooh afza on top.

The only thing I can't remember is if I put sugar in it or if the sugar was already in the packet. I'm 90% sure I didn't put any sugar in it, but if it's not sweet enough after you cook it, then add sugar as needed :)

Hope this helps!

^ U r right, sugar is present in it.

Re: Lazeeza falooda mix

wow! I've always seen this in desi grocery stores and hav always been tempted to buy it n try it.. but never did. How is it??

Re: Lazeeza falooda mix

bhenjee it's really good! i made it for a dawat of all my mom's friends and everyone loved it. and it's really easy to make.. give it a try :)

Thankyou Bebo Shah  However, i managed to find the recipe online on this website. I’ve also found a recipe for the laziza kulfi mix for you…

Indian Food • Kulfi Mix - Zafrani (Saffron) - Laziza • from Spices of India.

awesome isnt it ?? lol

I made it yesterday, its pretty much what you said to do, and it already has sugar in it. Enough in fact :open_mouth: Ive made it before and it didnt turn out nice, but this time round it was SCRUMPTIOUS. My dad had two servings hehe. We didnt have any rooh afza at home, but I topped it with some shahi kulfi which was divine. However, i have a bone to pick about the mix.. it had RAISINS in it. WHAT falooda has raisins in it :frowning: i dont like them. And also, it didnt have those basil seeds that have that nice texture in it.. which sucked :frowning: Other than that, lurvly jubly!

Oooh ive sen the kulfi mix in the shops but have never tried it. Is it the actual ice cream or is it like barfi?? And also, is it nice??

Another thing, are the boxed mixes good, for the aandi and rice - like theres ‘shan’ ones now too. I was wondering if they are as nice as they look. Thanks

Re: Lazeeza falooda mix

I have a box of this too. I might make in tomorrow. Their ‘Firni’ is really nice. All you need to do is add milk to that one and you are done. When I made the firni packet, with the leftover mixture, I put it into ice lolly holders and froze it. Tasted just like kulfi.

Normally I am never allowed to make the boxed stuff but the firni tasted good so :hmmm:

@Sahds Wow thanks for finding the recipe!!! I’ve never made their kulfi before but I’ll make today and let you know how it turns out
The falooda I made didn’t have any raisins.. I think I made the pista flavor one. They have a few different kinds. There’s a rabri flavor, a jelly, kaser, and pista. Try one of the other ones next time and hopefully it won’t have raisins.. you’re right.. raisins in falooda??
Are basil seeds the little “fish eye” looking balls? :disgust: lol

Re: Lazeeza falooda mix

:halo: ahum ahum

Re: Lazeeza falooda mix

yes bebo shah, the basil seeds are the fish eye balls - but i like them :) lol Hmmm rabri flavour, I've always wondered what that was> >rubbery?

And Inzi Rocks.. why the prodigy returns =D and why am i not surprised a thread about falooda attracted you hehe
