by perfect length i mean that when u stand wearing the patiala without heels the paincha doesnt reach the floor (because of the weight of the “kali’s” or pleats in the shalwar) and the gher isnt too much. i have no idea how much kapra u need for patiala since it depends on your height and weight and the style of patiala you want (more gher or less gher)

I’m gonna be wearing a super-short kurta with a normal, very slightly fitted shalwar and stilettos..

5.5 yard is a perfect ratio of cloth which shweetdreamz said. i got made 5 patialas of various colors. it depends on how MUCH layers yani "kalis" you want in them as said b4. otherwise** i have seen girls wearing patialas with one side full of flairs and bottom flairs as well**.... :)

Hi girls can any1 solve my misery i've been to zillion tailors for the patiala that Ash is wearing in Bride n Prejudice specially yellow one but all in vain , does anyone know who can stitch it best back in Pak , they always give me layers on the inner side of shalwar , whereas i fancy on the outside , any help would be highly appreciated

I have got afghani shalwars with all of my shirts this year from pak so I think they r still IN. have few pics of desgin , my cousins (who got me made em) call em afghani shalwars . I dont see any differnce betwen afghani n pathalas.
