I had LASIK done last yr. The procedure itself was uncomfortable for me. The doc put anesthetic drops in my eyes. But it still hurt slightly. And once one eye was done, it was even harder for me while the second eye was being done. I kept feeling drowsy. Later I took some painkillers and the slight pain was definitely bearable. I was so happy that first night when I removed my goggles and discovered I could see! My vison was terrible before.
A yr and a half on, my eyes are slightly weak again. The doc said that happens if you have a high power to begin with.
But I'd still recommend it to anyone who is sick of their glasses. I had a very power, around -12! My heavy glasses were ruining the shape of my nose. So I've never regretted having the procedure. My eyes are dryer than they were before, artificial tears keep them okay.
