the cottage cheese gives the lasagna a creamy texture, i usually make my lasagna with the traditionla ricotta/egg/herb layer, but that tastes too heavy for me now. I had this lasagna with the cottage cheese at a friends house and i loved it!.

Most ppl try the lasagna nepolitan or sicilian. Try tuscan version it is a refreshing alternative, bechmel sauce can be an acquired taste so try it out first.
