laptopppppp

Re: laptopppppp

A1: Closing windows doesn't close apps, u have to quit each app separately.
A2: Leave it all open, just close the lid. Its like having a parrot in a cage, put a cover on it and it sleeps as is
A3: Downloads just accumulate (harddrie/Users/PHILOSOPHY/Downloads). you have to go empty it once in a while
A4: This is a computer, lots of stuff going on with it that you don't have to think about. With Windows one has to know stuff. For this you don't really have to :) (ok so i said it)

PS: Post specs on the computer (Apple menu/ About this Mac / More Info

Re: laptopppppp

^thanks topiwala

what is post specs?

so i can just close the lid, w/o putting it to sleep?

Re: laptopppppp

Post specs = Give us an idea about the technical specifications on your lovely machine

Yes, you can close the lid. the computer goes to sleep. I only reboot or shutdown my Air if some application is malfunctioning. It has a few days of standby time in sleep mode. Technically that’s what I do with my Windows 7 laptop as well.

Startup a machine when you need to use it is so 2 years ago! :snooty:
