laptop emergency

so my laptop went kaput.

i don’t know if i was hacked, i don’t know if it was viruses. i don’t know what happened at all :smack:

it was fine last night, i used it. and i left it open for the time i was studying (didn’t have any windows or anything open) and then i used it some more (mostly browsing GS) and then i shut it off and went to sleep.

and in the morning when i tried opening it. this black screen comes on asking me if i wana open it with normal mode or safe mode.

so i try the normal mode and instead some blue screen comes on with lotsa writing and then vanishes in 2 secs (doesn’t allow me to read it) and when i tried the safe mode some jibberish comes on that i can’t read.

so then, is it really serious??? do i have to take it to best buy to get it fixed? :bummer:

oh the blue screen of death… not good…

Re: laptop emergency

You may have to reload the windows .. Best buy will only charge you extra ..

if you have another computer (or you can use a friends computer) to retrieve data from your laptop and then reload the windows

Re: laptop emergency

^^and how do i retrieve the data from another computer? :konfused:

yes i do have the XP cd. i was actually gonna have to take my lappy anyways since even before this incident it’s been extremelyyyyyyyyyyy slow. i doubt the re-installing windows would make it any faster, yea?

Take your lappy to the nearest bestbuy with recovery or os cd/dvd with power adpt.
pay the harjana of data backup+ os restore and on your way out buy external hd , backup your data regularly in future.
ghoor say dhaikhna error code is something like this...

0x08080000_defective_user00x0000808

bring ur lappy to Best Buy, Iselin.. i'll take a look at it. :)
