Does it prevent you from taking an initiative inorder to clarify your thoughts when you know that you might not be able to fully express yourself with the limited vocabulary you have in that language.e.g. You are in a different country where you have to speak a language you are not very good at.
p.s. At times it happens to me in english, at times I might even create a misunderstanding by unintentional wrong selection of words.

I think if you're in a country in which you are not wholly familiar with the national language, its inevitable you're gonna have some language barriers yup.
Personally, the biggest language barrier i have is with my mum and some relatives. I speak english everyday all day lols, and my own mother tongue has become neglected over the years :( so as a result, its reaally hard getting my point across to my mum whenever we have a difference of opinion lol.

my dad was wearing a shawl once... anyways, my sis said to my dad "aap ghunda lag rahe hain" lol. my dad knows us kids so he knew that it was just bcoz she didn't know the depth of the word thats why she used it! she thought it meant the kind of mqm guys who hang around the streets doing nothing all day long!

lollllll… mahi yaar, no tayariyaN… if there is one thing I’m addicted to it has to be piyaz-timaatar ki chatni, even my Chaacho like teach you chachi how you make it taste so good u make an excellent chutni, and even if the daal is average then the chutni acts as a concealer as well as a compensator

I speak English which is spoken by 1 billion people and Urdu which can be understood by another billion
All I need to do now is learn French, Spanish, Arabic and Mandarin and I am set
