Landing into an arranged marriage would it work?

Re: Landing into an arranged marriage would it work?

Palz, perhaps you can discuss your concerns of moving back to Pakistan with your fiance. He might start thinking to move outside Pakistan or he will make it a point to help you in the transition period and cooperate with you when you would be trying to adjust in Pakistan. He should know in advance what you might be going through after shadi so that he can support you in all this.

My cousin was born and bred in Saudi Arabia in a conservative society so she didn’t find it hard to move back to Peshawar after shadi since she was used to living in a strict environment. But moving from a comparatively liberal country like UAE (ok its not as liberal as West, but it still is modern and liberal country as compared to a city like Quetta), it can be difficult. If you don’t inform your fiance about your concerns, he won’t be able to understand you in the future which will create problems for you both. So my advise would be to take him into confidence and discuss the issue with him. He hopefully will make you feel comfortable and will help you in the future too.

Having being born and bred in Quetta, I don’t know whether you and your fiance would be allowed to talk to each other or not. You know him and your family traditions the best.
