Re: Lamb chops
Very simple, very tested, very delicious!
Put some sunflower oil, little olive oil, big bunch fresh mint leaves, 1 or 2 cloves garlic, fresh green chilli, black pepper, salt, lemon juice into a blender and blend until u get a liquid that looks like bright green chutney.
Marinate the lamb chops in it. After a few hours, grill them and put them in the oven, or simply put the whole lot including marinade into the oven spread out in a large oven dish.
They will roast very nicely.
Re: Lamb chops
Or u could marinate them in tandoori masala mixed with garlic, lemon juice, yogurt then oven bake.
Re: Lamb chops
i've tried goat & weal (beef) chops
-i've *fried **the goat chops using shaan masaala for chops & taste good , but my mom made it with her own recipe which certainly r yummier than mine ( i don't have her recipe right now)
- weal chops turned out good if **grilled *, recipe :
add raw papaya(chopped with it's skin on) + salt + black pepper ( i add little red pepper too) + little yogurt ( not necessary) + lemon juice + soy sauce + garlic paste ( a little) + little oil , mix it well & apply on chops , put it in refrigerator for few hours ( atleast 4-5 hrs) ,than grill
Re: Lamb chops

Here you go...tried and tested millions of time! Its amazing thanks to Snow White!
Brown 4 sliced onions in oil, then add crushed fresh garlic (1 1/2tsp), add 3 bay leaves and 1-2 cinnamon sticks, then add lamb chops and brown/seal the chops for approx 8-10mins. Then add 2tsp salt, 1/4tsp haldi powder, 3tsp red chilli powder - add few mugs of water and boil, then leave to simmer with d lid until meat has gone tender and water has nearly dried out - then add touch of water, 1/2tsp crushed fresh ginger, 2-3 fresh diced tomatoes, 1tsp tomato puree and cook on med-high heat to make masala - once done add 2 sliced green chillies and freshly cut coriander to garnish and serve!

what does it mean to seal the chops?
Re: Lamb chops
^ I guess she means zip-loc them for 8-10 mins!
One of my friends tried taht recipe and honestly I didnt like the taste of it.. I want to try Rupay Halwa's recipe because I did something similar for mutton do piaza and it was awesome!!!
Also, while asking for lamb chops.. do you specify the front or the back or both taste the same?
Re: Lamb chops
^ trust me ...try it ur gona love it !!
Re: Lamb chops
By sealing she means to fry the chops on each side without any spices. I think its meant to keep the juices in or something.
I like my lamb with Rosemary, there is nothing better than that.
^ trust me ...try it ur gona love it !!
Yay, an endorsement!!!

i made lamb chops today with ur recipe and i got excellent results.
i didn't have time to marinate the chops, so i just put the chops along with the marinade into the tray, mixed them up well and baked them. they turned out moist and very yummy. thank u :)
