Re: Lal Masjid Siege Thread - Operation Silence (merged)
^ Your children were on the wrong side of the law. It was a sad incident and did not gladden anyone. We know that ample time was given for the wrongdoers to correct their behaviour. But they instead decided to take on the state.
My heart goes out to everyone lost in the tragic incident, but I would still prefer neither to compensate nor eulogize them for undermining state's authority and dispensing justice on streets. It was none of their business. May God bless their souls.

Unfortunately this was another Bahadar general who promoted this Madrissa culture to Make US happy and this Tiger who is hiding from Law killed my innocent children to make US happy. Burqa fame Aziz and dead Ghazi were both their man , still living under their shelter .My innocent children were not on the other side if the law , These crooks played with the lives .How they dare to burn my children in the capital gf my country . More cruel than the forces of Yazid

There are many other places where writ of government is challenged.
Wonder why this writ is considered challenged when religious people are around.may be inherent grugde against these people, shame that some still justify that brutual action.
May ALLAH give jannat to all who suffered from this unfortunate event and may ALLAH show his anger upon those who took part in killing those innocent children.

You're not innocent when you take up arms against state (you want to know what Saudis do to protestors?). Terrorist using children to advance their political/religious agenda are responsible for those who died in that building.

I'm not sure if anyone from you family was harmed, but don't ever take on state b/c no matter how weak state is it will always be stronger than band of trouble makers.

State should not act against poor innocent terrorist who get killed in these operations. It's a conspiracy against religious people..
ALLAH will be very angry with the state which is trying to use force against these innocent terrorist. These innocent terrorist should be given free hand, rather they should be facilitated against infidels who roam around freely in our country.. they should be allowed to kidnap these infidels, bomb CD shops and barbers and girl schools.. being religious ALLAH has given them right to use suicide bombings and arms to kill infidel people.. who is state to take away this birth right from religious people who have decide to use arms to carry out ALLAH's agenda and wishes..

Now without any aain baain shaain... plz let me know about who were the people actually resisting the army action? According to you, if they were army's own people, why was there a need for armed action or resistance?
You can't have it both ways. One of the parties was on the wrong side. Tell us your version of the story without displaying the usual sympathy card.

Khuda aap ko har dukh say mahfooz rakhay
Those innocent girls less than 16 killed were your daughter too.
They were not in mountains .
Just in a building inside capital
No rockets , No Marter Guns
Few small weapons
How they could burnt them alive ?

The killed children even the leaders were not terrorists .
I am surprised about your support for killers .
No need to clarify any thing .

Re: Lal Masjid Siege Thread - Operation Silence (merged)
Lal Masjid was headed by two clerics, the brothers Maulana Abdul Aziz and Maulana Abdur Rashid Ghazi. They had attracted a core of militant organisations around them, including the pioneer of suicide bombings in the region, Jaish-e-Muhammad. Also on April 12 2007, Rashid Ghazi, a former student of my university(QAU), broadcast the following chilling message to our female students:
“The government should abolish co-education. Quaid-e-Azam University has become a brothel. Its female professors and students roam in objectionable dresses. They will have to hide themselves in hijab otherwise they will be punished according to Islam…. Our female students have not issued the threat of throwing acid on the uncovered faces of women. However, such a threat could be used for creating the fear of Islam among sinful women. There is no harm in it. There are far more horrible punishments in the Hereafter for such women.”—PH
I think the parents who sent their children to be educated from this kind of animals should be put in a jail and declared criminals..
Re: Lal Masjid Siege Thread - Operation Silence (merged)
Who said I support the operation? I asked you for your version of the story. What happened? Who were the people resisting the military? According to you, they were military’s own people. I am a little confused about it now.
Why has ‘anti-establishment’ PPP never tried to investigate what happened? Oh, sorry. They didn’t even try to investigate Benazir’s murder, how would they go to such sensitive areas.

Mr. Bali, where do you live?
I am asking because I use to live less than a block from Lal-Masjid, I have seen this drama unfolding from first day to the last. I have seen the corpses of innocent kids in the "Nala" on the other side of Masjid. Do you know how far is the headquarter of greatest intelligence agency of the world AKA ISI from Lal-Masjid, do you know that 5 meters from the Masjid is an active naval Base.
Do you know that high ranking police officers use to come to lal Masjid to ask for help against Baji Shamim and likes of her, it was a well planned and orchestrated sting operation because Mushraf needed to show the world that "terrorist have reached the heart of Pakistan", they chose Lal Masjid because blood of poor people with no political power is not worthy of a tear from the elites of power. They used phosphorus bombs against against kids and some alleged terrorist who were surrounded by bravest army of the world inside the Masjid, with no gas , no electricity, no water. They could have waited 3 more days. Adul Rasheed who was killed in the attack offered number of times a solution, do you know who ordered the attack ?
Our great army has used these men before and they will use them again, they are an unrecognized third leg of our Army, they feel no pain to chop it when ever they have to. Great Musharraf declined to acknowledge his own army men in service during Kargil, what else would you expect from him. Allah knows the truth and I wish truth comes to surface.

Uncle ji thank you for your duaa, but that does not negate the fact that these people were taking laws into their hands. And before that, they were attacking CD shops, terrorizing locals, burned down environmental ministry and took over children's library. This is a long thread...try reading it when the whole dram unfolded. There are plenty of videos too...just watch some of them.
As for innocents getting killed, unless you want to live under Taliban rule I don't think you should be cheering for Lal "masjid" or what LM types stand for. Personally, I think govt was too lenient...I would've given them 24 hours to get out, and after that I would have gone with overwhelming force and destroy everything to make example out of them.
Re: Lal Masjid Siege Thread - Operation Silence (merged)
When the operation was conducted I was very much against it, but what ever has transpired since 2007, I am not really sure. Maybe it should have been handled differently. Either they should have carried out a sting operation to capture the ghazi brothers or surrounded them and used blockade of food and water to force them to surrender. The way it was handled had played into the terrorists narrative, otherwise I agree that no one should be allowed to take law in their hands.

So this is the legal way to know the facts.Only about a hundred were left inside and there were more than 80 girls.
How they burnt them alive. There was no need to do that ,
Our thousands troops present there could easily capture that building ..

I agree, there was no need for an operation...they should have either:
Conducted a sting operation to capture the leadership alive without collateral damage or forced them to surrender.
Musharraf allowed the issue to fester, he could have ended it much earlier if he wanted to...
Anyways, the supporters of lal masjid brigade have killed far more people using the incident as a justification.

Musharraf was not sensitive to collateral damage. He wanted to show the problem as a huge problem in front of Americans.. to ensure his own longevity. He just wanted to prolong his own tenure therefore on one hand he was nurturing the terrorist and on the other hand he wanted to show Americans that he was their last frontier against this menace. He was nothing more than an opportunist whose only agenda was his own survival.
I totally agree with you that the conflict could have been dealt in a much better way if there was an intention of resolving the issue with least damage.
