The way Musharraf handled Lal Masjid and Bugti, has ensured that the conflicts continue years after his departure.
Musharraf probably couldn't do it because of the resistance from within his government. People like Ch Shujaat, who admitted that they cried like a baby when the operation was conducted.

I understand that all options were properly exhausted before the launch of the operation. So the action was all but unavoidable. But we can surely debate the use of power and ploys adopted for the action.

Yes and Um e Hassan is now the boss. Under the Umbrella of real king of Pakistan.

To get a real picture of what is really going on in Pakistan. You have to go outside of Pakistan and read/listen to the less biased and well researched reporting such as Al jazeera, Russia Today and PressTV. The red mosque incident played a very important role in radicalization of certain religious and liberal groups creating a war zone in Pakistan. At the time most Pakistanis specially living abroad didnt even know who these people in the mosque were, what they did and wanted to do. So called liberal Pakistani media did a very bad job with biased reporting and no real investigation painted the group as extremists/terrorists.

No, I have no expectation that these mullahs will give any fatwa against Suicide attacks within the country. They can only give fatwas to justify killing.

The people leading Lal Masjid Burqa fame Aziz and Um e Hassan are still here and living under an indirect umbrella .
There were only few men inside and most of them were escaped , Most burnt alive inside were innocent girls . This was not a Taliban hideout .

I think people should be thankful to Musharraf for conducting that operation instead of condemning him for it.
Lal Masjid was the first of its kind. The army of extremists who had decided to come out openly to subjugate Pakistani people.
But with this operation the Pakistan government showed them who is the boss.
After the beating they got in this operation, the extremists learned their lesson.

Do you know there were only few males and rest killed were more than a hundred innocent girls . Let the Judicial commission work , Fact will surprise you . It is not necessary to support every killer .

You trust judicial commission? Don't you know the nexus between LeJ/Iftikhar Chaudhry/Shahbaz Sharif? You expect them to do justice?
Those girls were not innocent. They were given ample time to leave that terrorist den. But they didn't. They were extremist khawarij and deserved the punishment.
