This is the reality:
Pak govt and Army (one and the same now) are so interlinked with Islamic radicalism that they cannot bring themselves to conduct meaningful operations against there own.
Radicals hold sway, directly or indirectly, over much of Pakistan.
This situation has turned Pakistan into a laughing stock. After 7 days Govt is still negotiating with these c*cks*ck*rs in the mosque. Why?
Allied action against Pakistan would be sad, but justified. It is clearly a state sponsor of terrorism, given how intertwinned the political and religious elements are.

waisay MOST of the ppl do help these domestic workers in otherways too…like paying for their medical expenditures,giving clothes,helping in children’s marraiges,education etc etc…

Actually I'm still completely satisfied with the way the government is acting. With hostages still inside, Musharraf and his government are they are showing that they are not willing to endanger the lives of women and children until all other options have been completely exhausted.
There is not enough pressing need to end this stand off to outweigh the risk to the lives of women and children. We should not let our desire to see swift punishments for the miscreants and monsters inside the mosque outweigh our respect for the lives of the non-combatants inside who have chosen to side with those miscreants.

You can't possibly compare the two. The Balochistan campaign was a completely different beast - a campaign against a guerilla war.
This is a bunch of people who have taken over a single building complex. Keep it in perspective. Minimising collateral damage is much easier in this case than it ever could be in Balochistan.

As I meantioned, you can't compare the two. The government did not have Bugti & the rebels ALL bottled up in one location. They were not contained, therefore they could not all be negotiated with at once.
At Lal Masjid, the government has every single militant involved either under arrest, or surrounded and contained within the mosque. That's why we can give negotiation time. because at Lal Masjid, while we negotiate they aren't out there committing acts of sabotage and treason and murder.
The fact that 100% of the enemy are surrounded and contained inside the Masjid means that we have the luxury of time to negotiate and minimise casualties.

It's not any more acceptable in Balochistan.
However, since Balochistan's rebels were not as helpful as the Lal Masjid miscreants in that the Balochi rebels refused to let themselves all get surrounded inside one building by the Pakistan Army, we were unable to negotiate with them on our government's own terms like we are able to do so with Lal Masjid.
Therefore, the only other option was to use force. And under no circumstances, be it Balochistan or Lal Masjid, can force be applied without collateral damage.
It just so happened that the Balochi rebels did not let themselves get into a position where the government could negotiate with them on the government's own terms. Therefore there was no viable option but force.
