Did anyone see Mufti Taqi Usmani on TV yesterday. He was scolding the government for using tanks. When he was pointed out there have been no tanks but they were APCs. He said well a man comes out of it and goes back in, thats all that matters to me. I used to respect him a little bit but after this I really lost it, jin ko tank or APC ka faraq nahin maaloom wo government per fatway de rahay hain ke wo buhaat khatar nak weapons ka istamaal kar rahay hain. Yaar I could not believe his POV.

dunno man, thats why I am saying that it would be a good idea to see what their views were i would let people who know scholars do teh compare and contrast and make their case

I agree that one man;s scholar is another man's moron.
but all I am asking for is a compare and contrast of ulema's statemenst 9 dunn matter who you consider an aalim) vs those of political mullahs like qazi
the initial intent though was to see what imran BB, nawaz, altaf etc have to say about it and what they said about ti earflier etc

well i dont know about politicions statement but mine is
Government used LAL masjid just for their personal interest. musharaf governmnet just want to prove he played a gr8 role against war on terror. Why this happend now why not 4 month before when this issue just awake? Why agencies of pakistan was quiet on this issue ? where are they when they were collecting plenty of weapons in capital? This is issue created by gov't to get some sympathy from people and make den relax on 12 may issue and chief justice issue as well. and tryin to prove these islamic people are terrorists. huh
i can be a good polititian too :)

if they can present it sure. I am always interested in seeing other people's views..and more than jujst views proof that their perspective is the right one beyond reasonable doubt. I have never really read anything by ghamdi until ppl here started jumping up and down, I am curious now
right now I am waiting to see a conmpare and contrast of statements of 'ulema' versus 'political mullahs'
i was hoping you would have started posting that by now.
