your 100k rupees per month number has no basis anyways. the users of drugs are not always addicts, I knew ppl who smoked pot every day, and I knew ppl who used it weekly or only at parties.
and you continue to skirt the issue of particpants at these events stripping which simply does not happen.
and when the writer of this trash piece of writing conjures up one bullsht lie, then her credibility is lost. I dont believe the rest of anything she is saying.

yeah but that 11k rupees per gram for coke is very high, independent reports for India note that the price ranges from 50 to 125 dollars per gram, which is equiv to pakistani Rs3K rupees to Rs7.5K.
and yes I know the difference of the drugs, the point is that this article is bunk and is full of crap.
You still have not addressed the issue that I noted earlier where the writer claimed that girls stripped down to nothing. It simply does not happen. The writer is committing intelelctual dishonesty by either statign somethign she has no clue about or intentionally holding back information. I mean not that having strippers there makes it a kosher event, but her populist agenda to just fling dirt on the rich is painfully inaccurate and full of holes
These parties have a mix of the super rich and the new professional class type rich, obviously not everyone is an addict and doing coke every week, some may not do it except at the parties, in which case Rs3K every few weeks is not a huge hit for many. some may do it more frequently.
the point is that it is a crowd made of of diff groups of ppl.
what this does not change is that still this .000001% or less of the population seems to be on everyne's hit list, but the decay of our society is due to things that are far more prevalent and far more part of the moral fabric of the society.
the guys who are making out with girls at these parties, they dont need to go and grope women in bazaars...so who is doing that? they dont have to go rent dodgy flicks from shops 10 miles from their houses, so so who does that, and these are just one types of ill in teh society what about other stuff that is wrong, is stopping a small number of misdirected folks solve all the issues? if not, why does this keep getting this strange voyeuristic attention that it gets?
Yes ....because i am in agreement with you that writer has used fantasy and dramatization to address this issue....Infact i was trying to show that BBC Urdu has hired some 3rd class journalists to defame not only the Pakistani society but also the Urdu Language...That is why i was asking the Lahoris themselves whether if it is true!
One thing that i do know is that Drugs infested society is not beneficial to any one...same is true for Pakistan...We hear stories on daily basis that people get OD'ed on drugs & died.....and that too during the teenage years....
Such stuff happens in Pakistan, Karachi, Lahore, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Labenon, Malaysia, UAE everywhere. There will be people who will take benefit from so called liberties and you canNOT stop them. So rather than sensationalizing them aka Mullah, you need to find a way, focus on positives; yes take these activities down when you can but if you cannot dont whine and sensationalize the issue.
