There is no verdict but a stay on certain location where the heritage site and distance between the metro is not 200 mark, but issue is being resolved, properties and houses are being bought by the govt…
The whole city of Lahore is a heritage, And Punjab govt have done splendid job to not only preserve it but to make it reachable by the history lovers, a department with a budget is there protect, develop and promote the Wall City and all the gates of the Lahore…
But if someone is making noise, and thinking that getting a stat from court is big deal then, he need to get familiar with laws…
The biggest problem here is, me the existing resident of the city, who used to visit Lakshmi Chowk every evening ( and lahori knows why) haven’t seen a single heritage site being demolished or marked for demolishing purpose…and have seen almost all the pillars being installed… And yet hears it from someone who somehow heard it from someone that heritage sites in lahore are destroyed…
Despite me asking, u were not been able to label a single site which is endangered by this metro project…so i ll take ur whole post based on wrong assumption and would thriw out all ur concerns…
Now you are free to criticize govt and lahore and people of Lahore for demolishing the heritage sites…on that i would say, at least we are not converting our city into pre-historic times..
