In a way yes. IK has also tried to immitate the style of great Bhutto, who is still alive in the hearts of millions and millions Pakistanis. Though he is dead bodily, but his spirit is still alive as all politicians including IK has tried their best to copy him but unfortunately could not succeed. The words such as “nimaz ka waqt hay” or we will build new Pakistan etc are the words of ZAB. The purpose of comparison is just to show why IK’s party has not taken off the ground even after lapse of 15 years where as great Bhutto became icon politician with in three years. Farq saaf zaahir hay. Though I prefer him among Sharif Brothers or Zardari if he provide vision for whole Pakistan, not only Lahore. I hope he would not fall into a trap like NS, the politics of Punjab only, then he will fail miserably.

Punjab it seems will get open and reject the ethnic cards from NS or PML N.. and mark my word as we draw nearer to the election the PTI factor will get stronger in Punjab. I know people like Jhangir Tareen and Shah Mehmood from south Punjab have informally joined PTI and will be participating in next election from their forum. Imran has informally agreed to stay as crowd puller and leave the nitty gritty politics to people like Shah Mehmood who has now become the main political advisor to Imran. (Shah Mehmood actually advised the speech to Imran sitting in Yousuf Salli haveli till two a.m. in the morning a day prior to rally). It is going to be major dent for PPP in South Punjab. Also Imran has made major inroads with youth in Pukhtoon areas.

It remains to be seen how Imran can make inroad in Sindh which is being taken for granted by MQM/PPP on ethnic grounds. We need a major mind shift in Sindh from ethnic mentality.. I hope it happens.. We need to end this ethnic exploitation in Pakistan..
