I think we should appreciate the provincial government as well for not trying to take STRONG measures to sabotage the meeting. This kind of a meeting, even 10 times smaller, would be impossible without people getting physically harmed if PTI wanted to do a similar thing in Karachi and talk against MQM and PPP there. The beneficiary so far has been PPP which would gain some ground with sensible people divided into PML and PTI and blind voters going for PPP as usual.

I disagree with you kb.. there was a PML N rally two days ago. The visible difference between both the shows was N rally was gathered by regional politicians from suburbs.. with paid arranged transportations and crowds arranged from biradiaries/candidates in arranged buses.

Most of the people in PTI rally were the core former PPP voters. Middle class/poor masses who came on their own. These were once the strength of PPP. I think PPP vote bank is getting a bigger dent from IK than PML N’s vote bank who are relying on typical regional biradari politicians.

Bottom line is PTI rally was a very impressive show indeed. The crowd was not only negative about present status quo.. but people had a hope in their eyes. A thing rarely seen in Pakistan..
