a goodwill gesture…
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
similarities of language and ethnicity are stronger ties to some than similarities of religious beliefs ...how sad
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
its good to be culturally linked than religiously linked cause religion is private affair but culture is the way person brought up and deals with others.. so its good for assimilation of minorities with main line
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
^ disagree, religion is not a private affair ...but I agree that minorities should be respected /protected and granted their rights
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
.
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop

Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
When sikhs are citizens of pakistan, then they have equal rights of employment, etc as any muslim in the country.
One of the main reasons of creation of Pakistan was that muslims didn't have equal oppertunities of employment, education, etc under hindu/british raj. They were treated as 3rd class citizens. When Pakistan was formed, it was made clear that all the minorities in the country will be protected, will have the freedom to practice their religions and will be given equal rights in education, employment, and everything.

And where did Prophet Muhammed said the should be denied of their rights and they are not equal to muslims? The is not the concept of an Ideal Islamic State.
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
^ where did I say that "denied rights" part?.....they are not denied their legitimate rights nor are they to be persecuted on religious beliefs...but at the same time they CANNOT be equal to muslims ...just like the citizens of a modern country are not equal to noncitizens ...
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
so if theyre not equal then what are they??
you're talking like a nazi.. should we create concentration camps for them then??
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop

Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:
Qays ibn Abbad and Ashtar went to Ali and said to him: Did the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) give you any instruction about anything for which he did not give any instruction to the people in general?
He said: No, except what is contained in this document of mine. Musaddad said: He then took out a document. Ahmad said: A document from the sheath of his sword.
It contained: The lives of all Muslims are equal; they are one hand against others; the lowliest of them can guarantee their protection. Beware, a Muslim must not be killed for an infidel, nor must one who has been given a covenant be killed while his covenant holds. If anyone introduces an innovation, he will be responsible for it. If anyone introduces an innovation or gives shelter to a man who introduces an innovation (in religion), he is cursed by Allah, by His angels, and by all the people.

several ahadith prove that muslims lives and property are not equal to that of infidels
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
ok wait im sorta losing track of this conversation now.... what does that passage have to do with the sikh traffic cop
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop

Before you even start drawing lines about what rights a non-muslim can or cannot have, you'd need to make sure that all the other aspects of gov't are Islamic. Until just recently, women couldn't even come out and report they've been raped without getting charged for adultery. And you talk about delineating rights of non-muslims. These people don't even give rights to muslims.
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
yeah man.... and like, when u say they are not equal what sort of rights are u suggesting the minorities shouldnt have
Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop

Re: Lahore Embraces Sikh Traffic Cop
3 million hindus, sikhs less than a million
