With allegations of fixing against chris cairns in ICL, I can’t help it but start thinking about allegations of wrong doings by Lahore Badshah’s in the ICL games, specially their surprise lose in either the first of addition of ICL in the finals. Unfortunately, most of the people that were among the people of influence in Lahore Badshah were not from an un-tintied past (Fixing scandals wise in 90’s) i.e, Mushtaq, Inzi, Moin Khan. There was also a youtube video circulating in those days where Salim altaf and Mohammad Alyas were having a phone conversation, in which it was mentioned that there were probably some fishy business being done by some senior players of Lahore Badshahs.
re: Lahore Badshah and ICL – In light of Cairns/Modi Court Case
I have absolutely no doubt that Lahorie Badhsahs were completely involved in match fixing as well as spot fixing… there is a reason why Abdul Razaq was not part of lahorie badshas and he decided to play for the Hyderabad Heroes … razaq has a clean past and I am sure LB did not want him in the team as you need almost whole eleven on board to fix the match… just look at the LB team…Rana Naveed, imran farhat, imran nazir, inzi, musthaq, mojn kahn (coach)…all of them have a black past.
re: Lahore Badshah and ICL – In light of Cairns/Modi Court Case
I honestly highly doubt if razaaq had a clean past, I think the decision to play him in Hyderabad and Shabbir in Chennai (Or some other team) was made to make sure that there is at least some competition against LB, otherwise it would have been too easy for LB. I think, You are missing one person who was involved with LB, who is now with Team England.
I would not mind if some more crooks are exposed a result of Modi/Cairs case. Its about time we take the corrupt menatility out of Pak cricket, and the exposing and punishing the people who did it because they were seniors/respected players and they thought they would get away because of those factors, sets an example that will do long way in keeping our future generation of cricketrs honest than hiding the matter under the rug.
re: Lahore Badshah and ICL – In light of Cairns/Modi Court Case
The fixing in ICL was likely done by the ICL management, to make the games more interesting. Sort of like wrestling, where the results are pre-determined.

I think you are probably partially right, but I think by management influeencing results, it perhaps gave green signal to some greedy souls to keep milking the cash cow, dont you think so?
Re: Lahore Badshah and ICL – In light of Cairns/Modi Court Case
It gets interesting - Apparently Tony Greig had a feeling about involvement of chris in fixing and he confronted him - Now I do remember how derogatory attitude he had towards some of Lahore Badshah players during his commentary stint in ICL and he was criticized for it by Pakistani cricket followers, maybe he knew something fishy which caused him to be reacting towards LB players the way he was while commentating.
Re: Lahore Badshah and ICL – In light of Cairns/Modi Court Case
Off course, the case is very compelling - and that’s why i am hoping that it would lead towards exposing more people not only who took the money (regardless of their country origin) and BUT also towards people who paid/bribed cricketers to be dishonest and people who silently watched those bribes being given to cricketers
regardless of the country origin of those people.
regardless of how much financially strong their cricket board/media is.
and how much (in their mind) no one would dare point fingers towards them because of above two reasons.
Wouldn’t that be a good solution to weed the problem out and not just keep punishing small fish?

definitely. there cannot be any double standards. every guilty person and/or institution should be punished.
Re: Lahore Badshah and ICL – In light of Cairns/Modi Court Case
What do I think about Chris and Modi case? Or my opinion/concern about involvement of Pakistani players in ICL?..which was my topic!
Where is my conclusion regarding chris and modi case in any of my above posts? you are one of those who are overly patriotic and believe in sticking his head in the sand and not discussing the issues, hence you did not say a single word and did not have an opinion when i first started this thread -
Bravo to your bravery to come back when the case against Modi is decided and still not have a word to say on the topic of this thread. Keep your head in the sand, It suites you.

so how about responding to my original question to you...
Well...It has been brought up in the court that "what if chris has been made a scapegoat by teammates?"....What's your opinion on that ?
Was chris being made a scapegoat by teammates by coming in and testifying against chris in favor of someone who (even though he is not in india) can still be a very very dangerously influential person in indian cricket?
