HEY...that's the only pakistani stuff i have seen uptill now...and it was good...
and if you are talking about pakistani serials famous in india ..then u are totally wrong...but bakra kishto per was famous in india....
and amir was at oscars ...and what if he was sad ...his presence itself was a great thing for india...so three chears for amir ...

If ‘baqray kistoon par’ is the only pakistani stuff youve watched, then I pity you… First of all, thats not a PTV serial… Its just a private theatrical comedy show, which starred omer sharif, and only Indians would find it funny… If you want funny, watch the new line of comedy lahore based theatrical productions, but I doubt u would understand a word of punjabi they speak, and besides, their jokes will be too much for you…
btw, you can never watch the real PTV on your satellites recievers; the one you get is PTV-2, so how can you be a judge of Pakistani serials? Is that why you base your opinions on ‘baqra kistoon par’, a private comedy stage drama, which sadly you call good! It is no where near the league of the excellent Pakistani serials!!
As for Indian dramas, they still suck… Period, theres a separate thread which draws a comparison, so go read that… Go watch the 142339243th episode of Hinna on Sony, devil… I bet you can also play Hinna’s 18th husband in that serial!

Anywayz, PTV2 is not a very revenue generating channel, and it was originally started as an educational channel, and there are virtually no ads on it, so why should they telecast drama serials on that??

Well all I have to say! Lagaan was agood movie, didnt deserve the oscars, the academy isnt biased and Aamir Khan was sad behind the director of the Bosnian movie!

Anyways about Lagaan.. it was one hell of a great movie. Aamir is such a good actor, if they had a International Actor award, I’m sure he’d get it.
Lagaan didn’t win, it’s not the end of the world. Try to see where it went wrong, and improve from there. Nobody is perfect.
Oh btw.. I don’t blame Aamir for being sad. Anyone would be sad at that time, yet cheer up he made it to the Oscars!!!
Let’s give the Pak.org Oscar to Lagaan.
