For those of you who might not know, lady gaga is currently the most popular pop musician in america. She is totally inspired by fashion which she has said is an essential component to her songwriting and performances. She says she is “very into fashion” and that it is “everything to her” and also that her fashion habit “nearly has her bakrupt”!!
So that made me wonder… is all that effort of hers even worth it? Not that she cares about what people think of her fashion style but I’m just wondering what you guys think?
Pesonally, I think she (or whoever designs her clothes) is amazingly creative! The clothes .. or “things” .. she wears are not so appealing but they do have some artistic meaning or significance. For example, when her video “bad romance” came out, I was like WHAT THE HELL!!! But when I read her interview about what everything in the video meant, I was like “wow”.. !

Her dresses might make sense w.r.t her songs/videos(which I have never come across) but seen without connotation, I must say everything weird is not creative.
Not true! I love LG’s style and apparently so do Thierry Mugler, Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana and Alexander McQueen. If Gaga didn’t make music, I’d love her for her outfits alone!

I'm not sure I like Gwen Stefani's fashion statements; I've never found her looks particularly interesting or original. Also, it seems like Stefani's style choices are dictated by the men she's with and not with any inherent sense of style; when she was with Tony Kanal and even after the break-up, Stefani was a hardcore Desi-wannabe. When she started seeing Gavin Rossdale, Stefani began to look more and more like Rossdale's ex-lover, the drag-queen Marilyn. When Stefani and Rossdale took a break from each other, so did Stefani's Marilyn-inspired style, and she was free to experiment with more Rockabilly/psychobilly and punk looks. Then, when Rossdale returned to Stefani's life, so did the red-lipped, winged-liner, trannylicious look. At least Gaga's style is dictated by a stylist and not by Gavin Rossdale's taste in men.
I like her style. I love looking at creative make up and hairstyles and wacky clothing. I especially loved her style in her video 'poker face' Her nails were amazing too. I envy her body, its to die for!!
