Ladies!!!

Hmmmm…I don’t consider it a waste. The global economy is strained…people are being laid off…employers are becoming more picky about who they should hire…they want someone who stands out. So, having a higher degree can increase your chances. Conversely, yes…some employers (not all) would choose to hire one with only a bachelor’s degree to save money. But for those…who really value the expertise a person can bring to the workplace…they’d want someone who has that.

You don’t know someone unless you start living with them. You meet a guy…he’s attractive…he seems nice…but when you start living with him…you find that you’re stuck in a dysfunctional marriage…what if it’s an abusive marriage?

Or what if your husband gets into an accident and becomes paralyzed. I’ve heard such stories…SEEN such examples. Or what if hubby gets fired? The wife might need to start working. What if he divorces you? You’re on your own now.

It reminds me of how this one girl…once said that she wants to get married so that she’ll have a “guardian.” I didn’t agree with her. If something happens to your “guardian”…of if your “guardian” leaves…what will you do? Do you have the ability to stand upon your own two feet? Life doesn’t come with guarantees. And to rest your entire safety/security upon a “guardian”…to me…is scary. Rather than look for a “guardian”…one should look for a companion. Be secure in yourself.

Even a married friend of mine…whose husband is financially supporting her and is in no dire need of working…ALSO…says that a woman can’t go into a marriage just planning to be a housewife because life is so unpredictable. She may have to work. Unfortunately life doesn’t always run according to our plans.
