Ladies who wax facial hair

Whats your advice Gina

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

LOL. It is a medical FACT that **women who are sensitive to male hormones **will experience thicker growth due to follicle strengthening IN THE BEARD AREA ONLY once they start root removal. also the growth can become distorted and lead to ingrowns.
just as women with hormonal issues will get an increase in facial hair and it's thickness even if they don't touch it!

do some research yeh.

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

When you wax hair, it breaks unevenly from/at/above the root. So when it grows back, it does so unevenly, giving the ILLUSION that there is less hair. If you consider not waxing for say....3-4 months you will have the exact same amount of hair as before, because by now it has ALL grown back.

When you shave, the hair on your entire....say leg...is removed "identically", and it ALL grows back at the same time...giving you the ILLUSION of a lot of hair.

hope that makes some sense. :)

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

^This is also very true chanda :)

Those women who claim that waxing has reduced hair on, say the legs for example, try not waxing for 6-9 months (through all the hair cycles) and you will see it's just as hairy as before. waxing does not weaken the follicle to stop producing hair.

And in the worst case, on the BEARD AREA ONLY, it can lead to them producing thicker hairs.

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

^exactly!

My advice is the same as chanda's and stoppit's.. :) skausar.

Thing is bleaching my facial hair is looking very obvious so i wanna get rid shall i wax or thread?

Girls breakout with both.. u'd have to try and see which one suits u're skin. I prefer threading.. :(

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

skausar what are going to do when it grows back?? you d have to hide the growth right?? because you cant wax or thread the tiny growth...
its better to bleach..

i was hugging a lady at a party and her face kind of felt weird...after looking closely she had trimmed the bleached hair close to her skin, it felt like a stubble but you couldnt see it

laser is an option.

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

My facial hair has recently gotten more noticible longer i think. And well if i get rid it won't be so long so during in between times i can bleach until the next time i remove

errr…im not sure about facila hair but women who wax thier arms and legs actually notice less hair. its not like u wax ur amrs once and say oh my hair are back after nine or ten months. it takes years. for example girls who start waxing at early age need less frequent hair removal in later years. so its a fact.

but i dont think waxing ur face is a good idea ever :hmmm:

if ur noticing more hair then u shud see a doctor because u may have some hormonal imbalance or sumthing. wat if wat stoppit said is true and u end up with a beard :hehe:

^This is why i wanted to know from people who do wax or thread their facial hair has it become more noticipble are they seeing more thicker coarser hair coming through obviously if i started doing it i would maintain it

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

I thought waxing, threading facial hair was done by most ladies

really? a fact? have you ever read any scientific papers on this phenomenon?
because i have come across plenty of scientific evidience that says this is not the case.

i have been waxing since i was 12. i know that my hair looks a lot sparser and finer for the most part but it doesn’t mean follicles have stopped producing hair. you would only know if you were to leave it for long enough to assess it.

Do you wax your facial hair? Any regrets?

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

skasur, i don't do it so i can only tell you what i know from other people.

i have plenty of friends/cousins, friends of friends, who developed this problem and then they all turned to laser (bad choice too) to try and solve it.
i can't tell you who but i've had plenty of GS girls pm me too about info for laser or electrolysis because they experienced thicker growth and ingrowns after regular facial hair removal.

and i have said this before that women who are more sensitive to male hormones will notice that as they get longer the facial hair will become more prominent... they see the biggest change in their 20's and then during menopause... so if you're experiencing that, i can only hazard a guess that waxing/threading will make it worse.
it could also be a hormonal imbalance so have it checked out.. but i don't think it is because it would be REALLY bad if it were... ie you would already have started producing hairs that won't take the bleaching.

Do you wax your facial hair? Any regrets?

i meant for arms/legs. i'm having legs, underarms, bikini lasered now.

if you can afford it and have the time, get electrolysis on your face. it's the only thing that will solve the problem and not destroy your skin.

Can't afford it.

It looks really bad now aswell when i bleach its just too obvious i feel concious

Re: Ladies who wax facial hair

ok then just have it waxed. you have been asking this question for months. you obviously want to do it and want advice that agrees with your desires. so just pretend you have got it and go ahead.
make sure they use hard wax so it doesn't pull on the skin as much and apply witch hazel afterwards for a good week.
