That, however, is desi thinking. The older a man gets, more likely he is to settle for a ho, cuz let's face it. Men past their 40's have issues finding good rishtas unless they own a building in Manhattan.

We are talking about long term relationships. Not one night stands. A couple of months to two years long each.

I think I would say no (but then again, when you are ACTUALLY in a situation it is much different). I have a reason but I don't want to come across as holier than thou. All I would say is one of the criterias islamically in choosing a spouse is piety. But then, the guy is being honest about it...hmmm

I never was a woman since birth and never will be :), but knowing women, I would say 'most' women (desi or non-desi) would still accept the guy (with all other credentials acceptable) if he is upfront and honest or if they find out after marriage.

I will probably wonder about how serious each one was and why they failed. If they were long term relationships and they all failed then something really is up with the dude (unless he is very, very unlucky).
I don't know. It doesn't look good to have that many serious relationships fail.
Now, obviously, if they were all casual (or mostly casual like 3/5) then I'd like to know that the dude is really ready for commitment. Once that is settled, I will probably wonder about his amount of "experience." Obviously, the honesty will be taken well - however, that alone won't determine the decision.
By casual, I mean a couple months long relationship, when people are still in the honeymoon phase, nothing toooo serious.
It also depends on how old the guy is! If he is in his late twenties, then two (maximum three - even that is pushing it) serious ones might be swallow-able.

Namaan isn't a girl, but his guess is pretty good. If I have rishtas in which the guy hasn't been so sexually involved with other women and has other good qualities as well, I'd pick them over this guy who has been with 5 or so women. The reason being below...

When someone has changed for the better, become a better human being and Muslim, then their past should not matter as much unless it affects the future of the marriage. If a guy used to hit the clubs and drink, but realized how wrong it was, completely changed, then I'd maybe give him a shot. But this guy you're talking about is not regretful about sleeping with these women and that tells me he still approves of pre-marital relations. I wouldn't want to be with a guy like that.
