That you were a guy? At some point in life?
Out of frustration or anger or annoyance. Even if its just for a few minutes? Have you ever wished you were a man?
Please tell me im not a weirdo. :o

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
Something you would like to tell us?
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
wait what? I thought you were a guy ![]()
Edit: nvm I read it as "I guess deep down all of us wish that’
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
I sometimes think if I was a pretty girl life would be so chill … I just had to push trolley couple of times and get married to rich person and don’t have to care about work/studies etc. I know this is stupid because women do work but heck stereotypes in my mind
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
Hmm, let’s see now. ![]()
Well, there was that one fateful day that I have no recollection of…but my mom tells me that when I was a kid, I got it into my weird little head to attempt peeing my like my brother. :sid: It didn’t work!!! ![]()
Does that count, Op?
Apart from the above…and more seriously…I will admit to sometimes wishing I had the freedom that guys in Desi culture have as well as some of the skills (no, not vertical peeing!) that come easier to men in general…but without changing my gender. I like being a woman Alhumdolillah, wouldn’t change that.
You don’t want to be a guy in a Desi culture. You gals have no idea the kind of pressures boys have. The level of expectations from wife and mother, where both interests clash with each other, and to balance both expectations, is not as easy task. Tug of war may seem like a fun game, but when you’re playing a rope in that game, it’s very stressful.
In our society, boys are raised with the expectation and teaching that they will be mara baap ke burhaapay ka sahara. You think girls have it bad where typical maa baap look at them as somewhat of a responsibility and a liability? Think of boys who are raised as an investment. Think of that pressure.
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
^True, true…but the freedoms I was referring to are like being able to stay out later at night, road trips with your friends, etc etc.
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
Those are just temporary things RV, and also not true for every family. I had a curfew time when I was in my late teens. It was when I crossed 20 when I got some freedom, but then by 24, I left Pakistan anyways.
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
Trust me you never want to become a man NEVER
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
Yes
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
I have never ‘wished’ but have always ‘felt’ that Im a guy. As an adolescent, my mother did try to stop me by telling me to wear earrings or not to blow whistles or not to wear my brother’s older clothes (which wouldnt fit him). Maybe that had to do with growing up around all the boy cousins and only one girl cousin who was mostly friends with my older sis. Now, although, I dont behave like boys but still feel like boys. But never wished I was one because I enjoyed and still enjoy being a girl. Wearing make-up, fancy clothes (guys have very limited options in dressing up), acting cute (with parents and others)… you can get away with that. A guy acting cute looks stupid. Work when you feel like, quit when you’re bored, have ample time to explore different areas of interests as you’re not expected to work which takes up most of your time and little to relax, cooking at leisure . Being girl is mostly a carefree life. Would not like to change with anything.
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
You made me laugh :roman:
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
^You were basically a tomboy when you were younger; that’s all.
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
^^ @redvelvet, I still feel like Im a guy. So what am I now?
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
You’re not a guy. You’re a tomboyish woman; that’s all. Having interests or viewpoints that are typically characteristic of men does not make you a guy. For instance if you usually approach situations in an objective instead of a more emotional manner …which is generally seen in guys but not limited to them…it doesn’t make you a guy. Besides, you stated that you never wished you were a guy and that you don’t want to change your gender,…it would be more worrying if you did. So, relax..you’re still a woman.
Though…errr…don’t kill me…but until I read your post 14](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=14) in this thread…I thought you were a dude. runsaway
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
@redvelvet Good to know because I neither claim nor wish to be a guy :roman:
Re: ladies - have you ever wished..
^Okay PHEW!!! Good to know you weren’t upset with my former assumption.
