ladies - have you ever wished..

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

Haha… Im not surprised so dont worry I wont kill you for that as I also feel more like a guy than a girl. Still some of the characteristics in my real life personality are like guys. My father also treats me like a beta (minus the responsbilities part) in addition to treating me like a beti. So I think Im enjoying the best of both genders, hehe…

@redvelvet

I think you edited your post to add it later because I just replied to it now as it was not there before.

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

You’re not a weirdo.

Way back in university, I used to sometimes wonder how life would be different being a guy. My brothers were allowed more freedom than me. They didn’t have to worry about gaining any domestic skills. They didn’t have to worry about their dress code/looks so much. And all that combined used to bug me at times.
But in the overall scheme of things, I love that I am a girl. Dresses, jewelry, shoes, makeup … I love all that. I like that people (family) appreciate all that I can do. I like that I always have the option to quit work and focus on family. I like the idea of being a mother someday. I wouldn’t give all that up.

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

Freedom aspect for sure because I wasn’t allowed to live on my own for university I wanted to go to but most of the girls I know are travelling solo around the world so being a girl hasn’t stopped them, my parents are the issue. They would have would be just as protective and probably more restrictive if I were a guy. And my mother totally side eyes me for whining about not being allowed for things because I can eat out with friends when I want, go for walks with my hobby group in the city and out of it, even go out of the country with my school which she couldn’t do at all.

I can have an interest in cars and makeup at the same time without being ridiculed. Can guys do that, nah. My parents were pretty gender neutral while raising me so when I wanted a airgun I got it and when I wanted a barbie I got it. The only person who ever said I should learn how to cook was my dad because he learned to cook when he was in school.

But it’s totally understandable for girls who are very ruthlessly deprived and have a brother to have a comparison with. There were girls I knew whose brothers were sleeping around with everyone in the parties the girls themselves weren’t allowed to attend. But that’s an extreme example of the moral failing of parents. There are other people who don’t get the same amount to pocket money as their brothers or have a disparity with gifts or they have to clean their brother’s rooms and laundry because they were girls or they weren’t allowed to drive or go out of the house and had to do a literature course rather than a math one like they wanted (or get an education for that matter).

I do feel like people pigeon hole girls. They give them stereotypical attributes and perceive them negatively. I was told girls were talkative, dramatic and gossipy but that would mean half of my male acquaintances were women too…

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

never wished to be a guy. happy and content with being a girl.

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

hmmm… life1 is that way ------>

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

No. I love being a woman.

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

Never wished that.

Re: ladies - have you ever wished..

yes, only because I love to travel and see different landscapes and culture. My parents would never let me go on adventures like that myself. To be fair though, they would never let my brother go by himself either.
