^ they’d probably have put you under general anesthetic and knocked you out which would have been pretty horrid. you’d have had to wait until you came around a couple of hours later to see your baby

demesne, i know three girls who’ve had natural births in the last couple of months, and one who is due in march and wants one as that is how she had her first baby too, and all of them recovered fine and their babies were healthy and it was all good. one even delivered on her living room floor since the midwife only got there at the last minute and there was no time for an epidural or a hospital! as you said, it can be done, but as muz said, i’d rather know its there in case i decide i want/need it.
